BeaTs: I just uploaded the image to imageshack from this article. It does skip at the end, though.

Apparently the gif is actually just one image that is flipped/mirrored and then corrected over and over again quickly. It is not actually rotating at all. Your mind makes it seem like it is rotating in order to make sense of what it sees. Thatā€™s why people can see her rotating in different directions. It is argued whether it has something to do with being right or left brained.

One way that gets me to see it rotate in different directions is to open up 3-4 windows of the girl and focus on one. The others may change directions or they all may. sometimes i have a couple going clockwise while the others go counter.
