Well I’ve actually only seen the first two episodes, but I read the manga. In the manga I guess its not so bad since its just stills and not fully animated. I guess they took that to their advantage in the anime and juiced it. But you can’t really say that about this show alone seeing as there are other shows that do the same like Ikki Tousen or Queens Blade.
