I use them as inspiration for my own GAINZ. I hope to one day be an attractive GQ white man with washboard abs, beautiful eyes and perfect hair like Dailup.
I’m in the National Guard. Currently, I’m finishing up my year long training to become a medical laboratory technician, which I can then do back home. Nothing too hardcore.
Also, I own Spec Ops, and it is yet another game I’ve had in my backlog for the better part of 4 or 5 months.

That’s good. I talked to one of the guys during our highschool graduation and he told me that he got accepted by the National Guard and was going to leave home in several months. He told me what the National Guard was, the requirements, and why he chose this path. I was a little surprised and I also had a lot of respect for his decision. We chatted for a while and related on a certain level; neither of us were heading off straight to college like everybody else(I wanted to get into a trade such as welding, which I’m currently taking classes for.) I told him my plans after highschool and he nodded, understanding that he and I were both taking different directions in life.
Spec Ops: The Line > 93% of storytelling videogames out there.
I don’t know how to break it to you, you NEED TO PLAY IT.
I especially wanted to ask you about your thoughts on it since you’re in the military. No, I’m not trying to change your personality about war or anything like that, although Spec Ops: The Line will speak for itself if you’ve played it.
It’s a consuming action-narrative that artistically depicts what it means to be a soldier. It’s different from any other game, story, movie or art. Take a look and read about it somewhere else.
The game is open to a lot of interpretations. - “But remember that you’ve always had a choice”…
I didn’t go active because I wanted to make sure things at home were okay. I also wasn’t ready or mature enough to get deployed.
I’ll start Spec Ops after I finish the current games I’m working to beat. Of my 298 Steam games, I’ve beaten 17 (and, if you group Half-Life 2: Ep 1 and 2 as just Half-Life 2 Complete, then I’ve only beaten 15. If you count Guacamelee! STCE as just DLC for Guacamelee, I’ve beaten 14.), and I’m working on 5 right now. I’ll probably get around to it early November, but I’ve heard plenty of great things about the story. Most shooters aren’t super interesting to me, though.
