Seeing as how I work at Sports Authority, I think it’s time for me to buy myself a fucking bike.
nicca you got it made… it 3.49 now:rofl:
its around $3.50 last time I checked. this shit is getting out of hand.
the price of gas is one of the reasons Im happy that I dont have a job, less money I have to give to “the man”. Ive said it before and Ill say it again, bring on the Shizuma Drive! sure, we will have to deal with that pesky Fogler eye thing but its a risk Im willing to take.
$3.55…I wonder if anyone has told Bush yet…
Wtf, I filled up last week. gas 3.15
I go to the bp buy my house for some wiper fluid and its now 3.75regular!!
I use to work an hour from home…now only 6minutes. Im so glad i made that transfer. I thought i was gonna be losing sales but–fuck that. getting gas once every 14days is better than twice a week.
Who can we smack to fix this?? We can’t come to a happy medium or plateau?? like ok regular between 3.50-4.50. and it stays in between that.
edit* I have a 04 civic–and I wanna step it up and get a s5 audi…yea fuc**ing right!!
3.90+ in the bay area
Looks like I will put more into my car instead of saving for a new one…wanted a CTS-V but fuck getting prem. gas!
Well, gas is 114.9 cents per litre here, so…
…that is equivalent to 4.41 CAD per gallon.
Stop complaining.
I just paid $3.59 for regular down here in the ATL :crybaby:
3.50 as of yesterday in Maine. We usually have lower gas prices… and lower wages.
I drive 40 miles to and from work every day on backroads in a car that gets 18 city 20 highway every day.
Brutal.
Here in Ontario, it’s 120.6. You guys in Alberta are lucky.
3.35 here as of Sunday. Havent gone out…yet. Probably higher, though:sad:
Gave my Corolla tune up on Sunday. Plugs were a bit worn (0.045" gap instead of the usual 0.031" gap), so i replaced them. I have a feeling that spending $10 on plugs will be saving me a crapload more down the road in gas costs (usually she gets between 36-38mpg; she has been only getting 34 lately )
Beware of were you are getting gas as well. If possible, avoid the ones that have 10% ethanol. Sometimes they are a bit cheaper, but because of it your car gets pretty shitty mileage and in the end you lose more than you gain.
so rose, how do you tell if your plugs are worn?
So, a lady offered to suck my dick for gas at the gas station today. I laughed in her face and told her to get the fuck out of here. I’m not paying that much for a blow job.
Take them out, and measure them with a gap tester. You can find them on the counters at Autozone or any other store, and usually cost like $1. The plugs for each car have a specific gap size for optimum performance. Like for example, on my car it was .030" or some shit like that. The wider the gap, the weaker that spark, and the more fuel goes unburned. Mine was at 0.040, so it was running a bit rougher. As soon as I changed them, the car was purring again. You usually find the gap for your plugs in either the car manual or a haynes manual…and of course, the internet. You gotta check/replace them every 30K or so. It is a cheap set of parts…unless you have a really specific set of plugs (mine are just basic NGK’s). With these gas prices, a new set of plugs almost pays for itself:lol:
Best way to tell if they have been worn down: if you dont remember doing it in the last couple of years and you drive a lot, check them out (if they are reasonably easy to get to).
So why are prices so high? I feel noobish to ask this question but I haven’t batted an eyelash at gas prices until now. And I heard that some oil companies are making record setting profits.
Oh and I got gas today from Costco for $3.41 (regular). But me and my Dad were riding around town the other day and we saw E-85 for $2.99!!! Needless to say, that station was full of GM vehicles lol.
I have a 94 Altima thats getting less than 18mpg! An inline 4 thats getting worse mileage than my dads 93 Plymouth Voyager v6 (19mpg average). I read that its supposed to get 19-20mpg city and 24-25 hwy. I’m looking to change the spark plugs with some good ones, the spark plug wires, and the air filter. I believe the wheels need to be balanced too but thats $$. :shake:
Btw, gas is 3.49 for regular in Philly now.
also getting an alignment would definitely help, but thats also $$ too. :shake:
