The passing of an athlete star is always sad because they tend to be the inspiration to many good people.
Rest in peace, Black Mamba. You did good in your time.

Yesterday they interviewed Djokovic at the Australian Open and he talked at length about how him and Kobe were friends and motivated one another. Also, Lebron just passed Kobeā€™s career point record. Now today heā€™s gone. Very sad.

I was at home doing stuff for tomorrowā€™s class and I saw people on my social media feeds going nuts about this.

Same here.

I canā€™t still process what happened, will take time for me. AI diehard fan here, but Kobe for me was the other side of the moon, the other half of the apple. I started playing b-ball late, I wasnā€™t able to fully relate with MJ, Kobe and AI were my childhood heroes Iā€™ve always look up to,in and off the court, through their ups and downs. Iā€™ve learned a lot from them in an age where an individual looks on someone to follow outside his family. Kobeā€™s will to be the best through hard work was so inspirational for my generation and the one after mine, no one was really worried about what he would have done after the retirement, he was too smart to fail at anything. This nigga won an Oscar right after his last match, thereā€™s a lot of artist who never accomplished that in a lifetime. Whatever he touched turned gold. He was a great person before being one of the best athlete the sport has ever known, his mentality goes beyond basketball. My prayers go to his entire family, I canā€™t imagine the pain theyā€™re going through right now.

Man, this thing touched me so deeply.

Unfortunately, I never knew who Kobe was until today

But I can see how much of a loss this is from this thread alone

Canā€™t imagine what the family is going through nowā€¦itā€™s been a rough start to the year all around

So, my wife has given her okay for Combo Breaker; provided my refund doesnā€™t get bodied. Weā€™re still deciding on whether to drive or fly.

I really donā€™t know why Iā€™m so sad/mad at Kobeā€™s death. I really have no interest in Basketball. I feel like the world keeps on losing people of inspiration every single year. Man, I wonder how his wife is dealing with all of thisā€¦

To lose a husband and a daughter at the same time. She must be devastated. My heart goes out to her

Wound up dying twice in BotW. Struck by lightning. Twice. Damn near in the same place too.

The ironyā€¦
Worst part is that I didnā€™t even get hit, that thing just has a gigantic AoE.
First time it struck a Rusty Halberd on the ground while I was fighting some Bokoblins and the second time, it struck the Bokoblin I was fighting but when I saw the sparks and dashed, the motherfucker dashed at me too.
This game is fun.

Itā€™s pretty inspiring to see how many people have said ā€œI wasnā€™t even a basketball fan, but Kobe was a real inspirationā€¦ etc etc etcā€. Crazy to think how one person can have such a huge effect on our culture as a whole and make us push ourselves to be better than the day before. Life is too precious.

Canā€™t mourn Kobe, that guy got a lifetime. A better 41 years then almost anyone who lives to 114.

Mourn his kid though.

My nephew was devasted since he was a huge fan of it, he even phoned us to talk about it

On a different note

Been super unmotivated to really do much of anything the past few weeks. Just been tired and after work I just sit around doing nothing. Only managed to get myself to play 3 sets with Cool Kid for like an hour a few days this month

I donā€™t think itā€™s my sleep anymore. Iā€™ve been sleeping soundly these days, but still feel tired. Tried finally asking about it to see if I could find a solution

Best answer I got is it may be how little Iā€™ve been eating. May have been eating healthier, but I gave myself really small portion sizes for each meal. I slimmed down to only 170 lbs (at 6ā€™3 I think thatā€™s actually below the ideal weight) and have been steady there for the past several months, but Iā€™ve also been exercising a lot more than I ever have so the thought seems to be that Iā€™m just not getting enough calories so I just am not getting enough energy back. Or something like that. Which would explain why I still feel exhausted despite sleeping for 8 hoursā€¦

Tried upping my portion sizes for the day to see if that indeed helps. Itā€™s easy enough for me to talk about fixing my laziness, but itā€™s another story if I just feel exhausted all the time. Last week it was getting to the point where it was even affecting my workā€¦
