Once again, Please VF5! I have been a fan of evo for about 2 years. Im a BIG fan of Justin Wong and Choi.
I picked up VF5 a few months back cus it was at Evo2k7, and I been practicin a lot hoping to play at evo south.

ST will not make it.
No WAY Evo includes another Dreamcast game. The only reason Marvel stays is b/c Marvel is too hype. Remember a while back when EVO tried to get Marvel on the Xbox? THAT’s how much they hate the dreamcast.
Also, ST is a Japanese only game. It’s also pretty rare to find a real copy. EVO has been serious about using legit copies of games.
ST, as we know it, is done, and we have no idea how STHD is going to turn out or when it will come out at all. STHD and/or SF4 will be ready next year.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say this is the last year for CvS2 AND Marvel. With SC4, SF4, STHD, TK6, and KOFXII around the corner, I just don’t think they can hang.
I personally don’t want to believe that Marvel is goin out the door even if it is an grand assumption, because I am a huge Marvel fan, but u do give a valid argument. As for CVS2, really i believe u because it just isn’t working nemore even though I hav plenty of friends who play and want to play competitively in the game. With a lot of games going out the door according to u Renegade, which games are capable of replacing them in the sense of numbers, hype, and competition. I also think that MB and AH could be possible replacements but i could be very wrong.
vf5 needs to be at evo, online play and the 360 release has the game picking up and reaching to new people
I’m a hardcore ST and VF player. That being said, I think the next two games should be CVS2 and GG.
CVS2 and GG have dedicated fanbases that should not be ignored. The games are easily accessible and definitely deserve a spot in my opinion.
I’ve been attending the main Evo tournament since '05. I wanted to run VF4:Evo as a side event my first two years going but I reneged thinking it wouldn’t bring up much interest. The low attendance of VF players at last years Evo was a letdown for me. But since the X360 version has been released I’ve seen a large amount of hype build up into the game, especially with members on this site.
Even if Evo won’t fully support VF this year I plan to rally players to come out to Vegas and I’ll run a tourney with my own equipment. The majority of VF players are now playing on X360 and that is the version I will support.
ST is great but my sentiments mimic Renegade’s. At this time there is not one solid port to play the game on. Right now there is no release date for STHD; even if it came out within the next few weeks there is also the choice which version to support.
Ha. Well, let’s not worry about that yet. There is still a chance for VF5 to appear at EVO as a featured game :wonder:

why wait till August there is already a HUGE VF5 Gathering / Team and Single Tournamments happening in Southern California at the end of March.
So far we have 40 or so confirmed to be there. If your even remotely into VF then you want to be there.

I know for fact we would have 6 + from CO alone for it. Could be upwards of 10 even.
Let everyone know, hey, we understand why VF wasn’t there, but we’re still gona do what we can to enjoy it there.
I really want to go to that, but I just can’t. Not enough time and resources for both gatherings. Next year could be a possibility.
