Am half tempted to read the books so I can learn what happens with Sam, he is probably at this point the most powerful warrior in the GoT universe having smoked a WW solo and not even trying that hard. Him vs Mountain could generate some interesting odds.

Stuff regarding her death and things with her were discussed in Book 1 of the series as a bunch of stuff is explained from a few Eddard Point of View Chapters. However, HOW she died and what happened with her has brought on a shit ton of discussion and that, that I’m not sure if I should mention or not since, even though it happened way before the series started, some might consider it delving into spoiler territory.

Also Tywin offered up mountain to oberon for some bullshit deal around the same time, i cant mind what that was about was too interested in potential Sansa pirate dp/tentacles scene on the ship, again i was disappointed in HBO going soft.

I thing if The Mountain rears his roided head, Oberyn won’t be far behind.He’s been carrying a lot of rage and no amount of royal civility will keep him from slaying The Mountain. I wouldn’t be surprised if he elects himself to represent Tyrion if need be.

Thing is Tywin made that deal knowing full well nobody can fuck with the Mountain, so he was effectively killing off Oberon without doing any work, so oberon is fucked, I also think Mountain will be saved further down the line for another showdown with the Hound (cause you know theres an epic revenge plot somewhere regarding the branding), so yea good times failing any dues ex machina mishaps involving the sudden appearance of Sam/Hodor.

If Shae can be an utter CUNexTuesday then I doubt Bron will be much use to Tyrion either since he only bothers with coin.

Makes sense that Tyrion can be all “Fuck you your court and your dog” and cersi calls out Mountain/Lannister goon #45 that Oberon will join in with a “fuck all yall niggas, ill fight for the dwarf and get me some of that lannister blood!”

He punched out a horse ffs, also hes a highly seasoned rightfully feared dude thats 3 times bigger than anybody else and doesnt seduce pretty boys. Hell Hound only held him off from killing the (knight of flowers was it? lol) cause that was him pre Ayra babysitter soft.

Oberon needs to make the most out of the brothel before he takes on that nigga, if thats whats gonna happen.

Oberyn does not strike me as a weakling, and the outcome of a fight is typically not solely determined by raw strength.

Oberyn fighting The Mountain in some sort of small-sized arena, so it’s basically been confirmed that the fight is going to happen.

Dunno who’s going to win, but I definitely don’t see The Mountain as some sort of untouchable entity.
