Melisandre hasn’t done a lot yet (and I have not read the books at all), but I thought about how the lord of light is a counter to the frost zombies. Fire beats wight walkers in this universe. Maybe worshiping it is the best thing to do.

Joffrey dying was all that I ever wanted and the precursor before his demise made it that more enjoyable, but now there’s still that psycho Ramsay who needs an even more grueling death. To think hes also a “Snow”. I have a feeling that family has some legendary history behind it, and might have to do with the events beyond the wall.

I like how Melisandre keeps making these promises, but other than the demonspawn from her ginger snatch, her “Lord of Light” has made no real moves. The king is being a real bitch going along with all this crap, I just hope the Bunion Knight doesn’t get caught up like him.

Highlight for that ep was definitely dwarf Stannis riding his steed Melisandre. Word spreads quick.

Snow is just a surname for bastards, and unlegitimized royalty.

I always thought that wights and the lord of light/red priests were somehow connected. The both share the reanimate dead theme i.e. Beric and lady Stoneheart

I always thought Khaleesi and her firebreathing dragons would be the hard counter for the walkers. She’d probably swoop in mid-invasion and when all hope seemed lost and just set them ablaze!

Wow, this is very useful info. I’m surprised there aren’t a lot of “Snows” and “what have yous” in the show then. I guess you have to be a bastard from noble loins to gain those surnames? What was King Baratheon’s bastard full name again?

Finally somewhat caught up to GoT. I just finished S309, with the Red wedding.

FUCK this show. Seriously, FUCK THIS SHOW. EVERY single character I’ve EVER liked died or is going to die. There’s NEVER any justice whatsoever. WHY? WHY? Why can’t any HONEST character live?

WHY? I’m just going to wait till Dany, Tyerion, Ariya, Rick and Jon die.

That Cersei and Jaime scene was perfect in showing just how fucked up they are, especially Jaime, who I’m sure people were thinking was some kind of noble antihero.

I wonder if this is how their “lovemaking” usually goes down with them though? (sans Joffrey’s corpse)

There was an interview I seem to remember seeing with the director, and the actors involved in that where they mentioned how it wasn’t a rape scene an wasn’t supposed to imply the things that scene does. My guess is that when they changed it a bit from the books they thought they’d through in some subtle stuff, but it was TOO subtle, so now everyone thinks Jaime’s a rapist even when it wasn’t supposed to be a rape scene.
