He he gives him a dragon and lets him mine underneath dragonstone… he’ll bend both of them shits.
He’s pretty unconcerned about the iron throne at this point. I’m sure he’ll be all for cersei possibly being defeated but that isn’t what drives him. I can see Jon being pretty indifferent to Danys gig but if it can help him secure the North he’s in there.
Davos will kill the red witch if he she’s her there though.
LF has no point in the show anymore. They have no idea what to do with him. His purpose is to appear ‘‘smart’’ by blabbering some random bullshit and grinning like a creep. They completely gutted his storyline from the books, and didn’t bother to give him soemthing new. D&D are hacks. LF in Winterfell is a dead man walking, and instead of running away, he behaves like an ass and like he owns the place. I am sure Arya will kill him by the end of this season, in what will supposedly be an ‘‘epic’’ scene. Just look at the scene with Jon. It’s like he wants to get killed.
Word. Missandei is a straight up 10/10 goddess. My pull out game would get guard crushed to smithereens.
In a world where shadow demons can launch themselves from a 400 year old vag and a assassinate king, and a nearly bifurcated dude can get resurrected for the umpteenth time, poor Grey Worm can’t summon a Grey Snake? I mean they have Melisandre right there, surely she could help? (in more ways than one) lol
I love how they finally built up Euron to be the crazed berserker everyone was hyping him up to be. He tanked a lot of hits and just kept on killing. I felt sorry Theon for ditching Yara who looked out for him, but he did the right thing, no sense dying for an already lost cause. The GoT universe doesn’t reward blind bravery by protagonists. Oh and RIP little Sand Snake Alyssa Milano, your cuteness will be missed, even if your family deserved it.
Another one on the hit list for me is Olenna Tyrell; her rage is blinding her, and her ego is getting on my nerves. She has the potential of swaying Danaerys into doing some stupid shit just to get her revenge.
The Nymeria scene with Arya was a nice touch, at least we definitively saw that the she-wolf survived. It was also cool to see the scale in size between dire wolves and regular wolves.
I hope when Jon Snow arrives to Dragonstone, the dragons will respond favorably towards him, hinting at his mixed heritage.
The episodes are mostly good BUT. it is obviously way too rushed. stuff is happening in one episode that took entire season before. hence you get tons of teleportation, fast travel, and rushed shit and bs like an entire navy somehow being able to instantly magically find the enemy navy out of the blue without being spotted - not to mention it is bs that such a large navy could’ve been constructed in the first place since yara had stolen all the ships in the first place
edit: further more it makes ZERO sense to rush. hbo is planning tons of spin offs to keep the cash cow going - why the fuck are they rushing this show then? they have enough material to last entire seasons but instead throwing it away in a single episode. dumb dumb dumb. the plot has become ridiculous now that they’ve rushed past GRRM source mats, they could slow down and remove fast travel and it would be a win/win
It’s clear D&D were only interested in the first three books. Once they got to the red and purple wedding, they discontinued a lot of the book storylines and failed in writing new, engaging ones. The reason they are rushing everything is because they are not interested anymore. It’s clear they just want to be done with it. A lot of the actors, who have been mostly amazing through the seasons, are phoning it in. Even Emilia Clarke, who was always bad, managed to get even worse. At this point everyone is on auto-pilot, trying to wrap this up asap.
Terrible ‘‘argument’’. First, zombies and dragons are clearly magical while the ships aren’t. You don’t have to question how dragons exist, or how they breathe fire. You suspend your disbelief and that’s it. It’s different for scenes based in reality. Secondly, dragons and frozen zombies merely existing has nothing to do with the logic of why or how something is happening. For example, if in episode 3 all the cast got together and performed a group suicide, would you think ‘‘what just happened?’’, or rationalize it with ‘‘eh the show has dragons, anything goes’’. And lastly even magical things have certain rules or limitiations, a logic on which they operate. If frozen zombies would start breathing fire, wouldn’t you find it weird, even though it’s magic?
I think Emila Clake is a good actress. She gets too much shit imo, seen her in other stuff and she’s never been this “terrible” actress people online try to convince me she is.
If anything Jon Snow’s actor is the one with limited range. Everything I have seen him in besides brooding Jon Snow is complete trash.
D&D are really proving how trash they are as writers with this season tho. The plot holes PER EPISODE have reached an all time high. Btw the cutting the seasons down is all about them knowing they aren’t good writers and dont have GRRM to carry them anymore.
I like the new speed of things and look forward to seeing more scenes about the Greyscale removal. Sam should really have used anesthesia as the pain of having your flesh ripped off can send even the mightiest giant into shock and the speed at which Sam is performing the operation is too slow.
When it transitioned into the scene with the guy eating some questionable looking food, that was great! I could just imagine so many people in the world having a snack while watching GoT and then just immediately lost their appetite or threw up.
People are biased af here imo. I’ve read all the books and the later ones are convuluted af. It’s obvious to me GRRM has no idea where the story is going, at this point it feels like he’s just writing random shit. So I don’t think it’s right to act like he is some savior while the show writers are trash.
Plus that is without even mentioning the myriad more limitations a show has vs a book. You have money, actors, sets, people aging, ect ect ect. The list is really endless. Stop acting like the show could even come close to being as dense as the book.
All things considered I think the show has been solid. S1 was god-tier. They’ve had some missteps here and there since then, but it’s been solid, and this season is off to a good start imo
I’ll never complain about how this show is handled. Given things I think they’ve always been doing a wonderful job. And since GRRM takes way too damn long to finish the story, the directors will have to compromise a lot of things so we can get a good end result. It won’t be perfect but it will be damn good and GOT will be a classic series that people will still binge watch 20 years later.
Am feeling this as well. Like at the start everybody was kinda like sly on this guy, we were all thinking “hmmm this dude up too no good” or he can do some damage or something. But now hes made his power play in the Veil hes kinda just being set up to be a big domino for Snow to knock over.
Which is kinda shitty. He was a really cool underhand villian but now we got S7 and S8 of the oh shit Sansa gonna listen to LF bullshit and try and take control, hes cucking for his bitch to go supreme and raise Ramseys baby bah bah bullshit. Snow gonna walkz in there with Fat Sam and be like “this the nigga? " " yea that hims” “this the nigga trying to take ALL MY SHIT???” “ah huh thats him Jim” “fuck this shit”.
Get rekt both you sorry motherfuckers. Aint even surprised like the writing been force up the wall for 2 seasons now. Fuck you both goodbye. Danny be like “why you crying over this bitch bae?” Snow be like oh yea gotta kill you too, the end. Fly Drogon through a rainbow or some bullshit like this to end the show.
They really aren’t convoluted at all. GRRM isn’t writing random shit, he just understands you have to build up something first. The only thing I could see being cut/reduced are Brienne’s chapters. But it’s not like they are pointless either. They have some nice character moments, and Brienne is your POV for what goes on in the Riverlands, and shows how the war has affected the people. 4th and 5th book are very good, in many ways better than the first three. The only legitimate complaint is that GRRM takes too long to write. Personally I suspect the new book will come out next winter.
I know the show has limitations. It’s not like seasons 1-4 were perfectly faithful either, and they still managed to be mostly good. It’s not about being as dense as the books, or as similar to them as possible, thats obviously already impossible from the start. The problem is that the show is just stupid on it’s own (from season 5). The books have nothing to do with this.
You say the books get convoluted, and have no idea where they are going. Let’s say that’s true, it’s still the job of the screenwriters to make the show good. They ditched almost all the plotlines from books 4 and 5. Fine, do something good with what you have. Or do you think it’s GRRM’s fault for not doing the work for them? Is it his fault, because LF is still in the Vale in the books, that the writers in the show have made him a joke? Decent writers could have made him work, despite cutting his book storyline. And don’t even get me started on Jaime or Stannis.
