100 won’t pay for the ticket but I will take it up if I decide to go no problem. Last I checked people do reversals online all the time. If you think the lag is the reason why your reaction time is that slow then you are probably sadly mistaken.

I’m not sure why this thread has gone sour the way it has but Hav seems to be a big part of it. As for the above quoted post, you are contradicting yourself. First you say online means shit then you say the gief player is garbage from an online match. Either online means shit or you give a bit of validation to online play. You can’t have it both ways.
Everyone knows online play in a fighting game will never be respected until we all have OC3 connections with huge ass cables running from our consoles and there’s no delay. This doesn’t need to be stated over and over by randoms.

Even though online sucks, if a player is playing the match-up completely wrong, that’s still very clear. Online can fuck up execution on a tactical level, but if your strategy is fucked to begin with, that’s evident.
As an example, when this guy did beat me, he landed empty jump Ultra/Super a couple of times. He would just do it in footsies, and for thosr that don’t kno, my footsies against Gief largely involve me pressing zero buttons, since Gief outpokes Abel free from midrange. Each time he landed this, he had jumped, I attempted AA low Fierce, wwhich would whiff, and he’d grab.
That only worked because of timing mistakes, due to lag. The jumps are retarded for Gief to make. It’s just giving away damage. They only work because there’s a very small window for Abel to hit AA cr. FP that ikl cause the pop-up necessary to combo into Ultra/Super/Air Grab. Offline, I don’t miss that. Online, Gief wins and thinks he’s good.
Same for similar ghetto set-ups. This guy’s only other way to land Ultra/Super is after whiff s. RH or whiff Green Hand. Abel gets out of these free by doing Tornado Throw, which is invulnerable to throws. I was able to grab him out of those ghetto set-ups a few times (screen would glash. I would grab), but, thanks to online lag, he landed a fe of those lame set-ups. If you don’t think PSN plays a role in that, you’re delusional.
