I just received my display today and hooked up Marvel3 and played about 15 rounds. Could not detect any input lag what so ever. I received the S-IPS panel which is the preferred panel for this TV as it has the following benefits. To my knowledge the different panels will not affect the performance of the TV.
Extremely wide viewing angles (178 degrees by 178 degrees)
Wider color gamut (better color reproduction)
Overall better picture quality and clarity (subjective, but generally agreed upon)
So happy I picked up this display, the picture quality is amazing and lag free at only 1-2 frame delay.
I believe the ASUS VH235H is 0.5-2 frame delay so this is very close to the EVO monitors at a larger size.
The main criticism I’ve heard about The Hut was in poor packaging, limited editions sometimes arrive with damage to the box. Mine was just thrown in a thin bubble envelope, and one corner was a bit banged up, but it wasn’t too bad. With Arcana Heart, it’s just a PS3 case, pretty hard to do any damage to that through normal shipping. This is the first time I’ve used either of them though, so I can’t say for sure how trustworthy they are, but I didn’t have any issues.
Well there’s some glitch where the ordering process never redirects you to login onto PayPal. At least on Mozilla Firefox.
Anyhow, I’ve pre-ordered Arcana Heart using Credit Card anyway after noticing that a large amount of complaints came during last holiday season where the website probably got swamped and overwhelmed.?So I’ll give them a chance too.
EU limited edition is looks pretty cool with the minimalism.?Laugh.
Hey, guys. There’s someone on Craigslist in Bath, NH who seems to be selling a Street Fighter II cabinet for $200. Not sure what condition it’s in, but there is a pic.
Just posted this in the Recent Purchases threat at TT, but thought it should go here too.
Got a 160gb PS3 from Target, actual cost was $140 with $160 worth of gift certificates that I can put right on a prepaid Visa.
Go to Target and grab two or three cheap blu-ray movies(if there’s nothing that interests you, you can return them with the receipt). Buy the blu-ray movies one at a time, on separate receipts. One of the three should print up a coupon for a $100 gift card if you buy a 160gb PS3. If not, return them and try again, you’ll get it. Target is selling the 160gb version with a $60 gift card, and I’m told by a couple of Target employees that it should work with the Black Ops bundle coming out tomorrow(I know people have used it with the Killzone bundle) You will actually have to pay $300 on this, but you get $160 back in gift cards which can be converted to a Visa prepaid card, usable anywhere. I’ve got a second $100 coupon, think I’m going to get the Black Ops bundle, keep the other one for my living room.
Absolutely no idea how long the $100 coupon is going on for. For all I know, it could have been a one-day only thing, but if you need a PS3, it’s worth trying out. And if anyone is curious, the first coupon came when Fantastic Mr. Fox rang up, the second with The Magnificent Seven, but I’m fairly certain it’s just a random draw that decides.
Best Buy is clearing out the 360 Mortal Kombat Tournament edition, the one with the PDP stick, for $59.99. I’m hearing the PS3 version is still full retail though.
What made it even sweeter for me is that the WES51 showed up in my gold box so I got another $4 and change off. A killer deal for an out of pocket cost of $65 for me (have to pay tax on amazon) and $63 for those of you who don’t have to pay tax. My old walmart iron served me well, but it’s time to upgrade! I might grab another as a backup…
