is it really that hard to overtake in Monaco?
That would make bored d3v even more bored Last race Vettel and Weber both had 4 pits. I don’t expect anyone to beat RBR in the pits.
Worse than hard, impossible unless the guy in front crashes. It is a very narrow street circuit, with no long straights to set up or use your power if you have an HP advantage.
Monaco is about around the track, the sites and stuff so I still like it, but the racing isn’t so great.
AWESOME RACE. It is just that most of everyone here would be disappointed on how it ended. Hamilton was basically a no show in this race, but damn Button had time on his side if it wasn’t for the unfortunate crashes, yes, crashes. If you guys can get your hands on a dvr or recording, do it. It was an exciting race from beginning to the last few laps.
I’m downloading it, but how many actual on track passes?
I know guys will follow close and push the car in front hoping to make them have a mistake, but that kind of gets old. Monaco is like that every year, unless it is wet.
just watching the prerace right now, and I couldnt stop loling at the buildup. They drink on EJ boat, and then they point to all the girl severywhere and there are so many whores (hookers) I know a few girls who went to this race last year
Money’s good apparently.
Damm, it would have been awesome to see Vettel trying to finish the race with no tyres. I don’t know which of the three guys had the most chances to win considering the states of their tyres.
On the other hand, I loled hard when I saw them reach the train of cars just before the accident of the red flag. How many fucking cars were there? Also, I bet that Hamilton was ready to try the guys before him to mistake him for Button and let him pass under the blue flag. XD
Oh, and Button kissing and patting the Royal Family…
Great race, Monaco style.
Hamilton needs to keep his trap shut though, his little rant about always being called to the stewards isn’t getting him any positive publicity.
He’s such a talent that’s starting to be overshadowed by the fact he’s moaning like a little bitch.
Hamilton was pretty much calling the other drivers bitches for moaning so much, lol.
I told my buddy before the race started that, if there was going to be a battle for 1st, it would because someone has fresher tires than the other. So hyped to see it happen with 15 laps to go. Button had the best tires going into those last 15 laps too. It was unfortunate that Petrov crashed and caused the race to basically reset. Vettel on fresh tires and in first = instant win. Either way, despite the lackluster ending, this year’s Monaco was still an awesome race.
Also goes to show how intense of a track it is too. Tight streets with almost no grip made cars into the walls a common theme. Canada is next, expecting to see a lot of KERS and DRS in full use for passing.
I would bet that Hamilton was just really butt hurt by his performance. He only got 6th due to the reset and in his mind he did alot worse than that. On Monaco, I would argue in favor on the stewards. The track is too narrow for Hamilton’s aggressive contact driving he showed on Sunday. With the amount of crashes that occurred, Hamilton’s aggressive driving was rightfully penalized.
Need to holler for Kamui getting 5th
I think McLaren will be the favorite in Canada, being able to use KERS twice per lap, and Redbull not having a working KERS yet. Even that, Vettel has this championship in the bag.
I went to Montreal 2007 & 2010, but this year I’m going to have to miss it due to having to spend money on other things plus I’m going to EVO this summer. Next year I’m doing Austin plus probably Montreal.
I will take my dad to Austin probably, but go with my friend to Montreal so we can party all week. I feel odd partying with my dad.
Time to start saving.
Fuck it. Waiting for the RedBull nerf.
My montreal fund got destroyed this year, I refuse to go to mtrl without buying a pitpass. Our redbull rep here in vancouver wouldn’t give me pitpass tickets this year.
What do you get with a pitpass? i though they are not really for sale, just for VIPs.
Last year I had seats right in front of the Mclaren pits, got plenty of pictures and video,it cost a lot but it was worth it. I think it was $560 for the 3 day pass. Me and my friend would go to the grocery store and load up on shit and take it in. Beats standing in line and eating that awful food. Had my Newcastles nice and cold and made some bagel sandwiches, it was great.
Essentially we sell the most redbull out of any other bar in BC. So the redbull reps always have goodies to give away, so I always harass them every year to get race tickets or something. I know they get them, but they say they never have them. Honestly I have yet to meet many f1 fans around vancouver. W
Also you can buy a pitpass, it’s usually an extra 500 pounds, and it’s for the friday/saturday practice.
I am going for sure in 2012. Sad because I said that about this race this year, but going to an f1 race isn’t cheap. And I have alot of hookup’s in MTL too. Or maybe I’ll catch singapore or some race near the end of the year. But we’ll see.
Pounds?
You are in Canada, and I’m from the U.S. breh, dollars.
$1200?, fuck that, it ain’t that important for me. I get the pitpass for MotoGP at Laguna Seca, but that is only $50.
I would have went to Montreal this year, but I had to shell out $4000 for various things, at least I’m still going to EVO, already paid for.
See you at evo
man, you can see him brace himself. I wonder if he told himself “this is it”
I heard about it before I seen it, and thought it was much worse the way people were talking.
Not even close to this, Kubica Montreal.
I was at this race, I didn’t know he lived until way after the race, because being there you don’t have the commentators telling you what is happening offtrack.
It made me sick a little bit, because I hate to see any of them seriously hurt.
Or Alonso & Webber in Brazil.
I didn’t see this one until a few years after it happened.
I was glad that year MS broke his leg though, because I hated him and I was much younger.
I don’t hate Vettel, but I wouldn’t mind a broken leg to make him miss a couple races to tighten up the points.:razzy:
I give Alonso, Webber & Kubica 10/10 on severity, Perez 6/10 maximum on that same scale.
Looks like Perez is still spooked from that crash, he ain’t driving the rest of the weekend. He said he didn’t feel right.
McLaren & Ferrari are fast, I do not think Vettel will win this race.
Vettel had a pretty big crash on the wall of champions in FP1, but was back to flying in FP2.
Fuck me for not being there this year, next year I’m going.
GOOD NEWS!
