Sarcasm aside, he’s containing Maicon quite well. If there’s one part of the Brazil team that I think exposes selection issues is ALves at attacking right- he’s not comfortable there, he doesn’t compliment the fact that Maicon covers much of the same positions, and doesn’t take advantage of all the ground Maicon covers. For once I agree with the Brazillian public, Ronaldinho would have been good cover for Elano and Ramires in that position.
By the way, that has to be the save of the tournament from Stekelenburg vs Kaka. He’s possibly been the best keeper there alongside Eduardo for Portugal and Benaglio for Switzerland. Cesar hasn’t really been tested enough to rank him as one of the keepers of the tournament, although he is the best there.
