The Football (Soccer) Thread - Season 2017/2018

Who just caught the french journalist saying “go f*ck yourself” :wow:

btw, the French need to just go home

Wait, what happened just now?

This French journalist quoted Anelka when he said “go to fuck yourself, you son of a bitch” to the France head coach. They aired it since I guess it was live TV.

The ESPN commentators were apologizing for it, it was funny.

What doesn’t make sense is that it just aired on ESPN2 again haha.

I’m ready for this Brazil v. Ivory Coast game…should be interesting.

Well done New Zealand I was expecting Italy win 4 - 0 or something. Looks like Italy may be exiting along with France!

Bring back Zidane! Muthafucka will headbutt pplz if they don’t want to practice.

nice goal brazil.

beautiful brazilian goal

fok brazil. damnit.

that was godlike, even though it hit his arm. lol

hand ball, what a lucky goal, i hate brazil :arazz:

You know Arsene Wenger just happens to be in South Africa :wonder:

Brazil is too good…

Kaka getting a red card is why football needs some changes.

Fuck this.

Yea they should stop the clock and check out the replays

The card will probably get dismissed like a lot of the cards have been so far.

WTF @ Ref knowing he handballed it but still allowing the goal

The whole ‘video replays would interrupt the flow of the game’ thing is bullshit. There are plenty of ways they could implement them with little fuss. They could go the tennis route and give each manager something like three calls per match. And the replay footage is ready to roll in seconds on the TV coverage so I don’t see the problem.

Though I suppose it’s a lot harder for Sepp Blatter to fix matches if replays are introduced.

I don’t think he knew at the time, he was probably told by the Ivory Coast players after he called it.

BS game…but glad Ivory Coast took down Kaka. Instant replay REALLY needs to be implemented into all sports. There’s no excuse anymore.
