Pathetic showing from England and a stolen goal from the U.S. Bad day for futbol indeed.
Wow england were absolutely terrible, not a single player with an england shirt on his back looked interested tonight.
Wayne Rooney was pathetic he looked like a headless chicken he didnāt get stuck in at all im in total shock by englands performance.
Iād agree until you get to Ashley Cole. I think he played pretty wellā¦ Though he was the only one.

perhaps youāll be joining us.
good day.
Yeah that is true also David James as he kept a clean sheet the only 2 positives to take away tho.
Anyone else see David Beckham becoming the England couch one day :wonder:
Would be an interesting move. Donāt know if it would be a smart one. Great players donāt always translate into great coaches, and Becks doesnāt strike me as a charismatic leader of men. He was more of a do-er than a leader imo. I honestly think Argentina is doing well DESPITE Maradonaās poor coaching ability. Maradonaās 3-step coaching strategy seems to be:
1: Let the best player in the world do his thing and stay out of his way
2: Try to kick every ball that comes to you out of bounds to get camera time and have announcers reminiscing about how you were once the best player in the world
3: Pray with rosary beads on the sideline.
And honestly, only the first step is the important one. Having the best player in the world helps tremendously, not many other coaches can get away with following such a strategy.
EDIT: Also I must agree with Lalas (Normally I disagree with him) England is a good team that has somehow deluded people into thinking that they are a great team. Theyāre a great collection of talent, but throwing talented players into a group and calling them a āteamā doesnāt always work.
^_-;
Match was horrible. Everybody turned up, nobody could be bothered. Give or take a few little moments and it was just one big clusterfuck of players that didnāt look as if they wanted to be there.
Rooneys little outburst at the camera when going off at full time was disgraceful as well. Everybody in that stadium had a right to boo that performance. If you missed it:
I figured heād be better as a recliner, or possibly a hammock.
The last 3 days have made me sick. If Holland ties/loses tomorrowā¦I donāt know how I can go on!
Fuck it. GO USA!!! International griefers, yeaaaah!!!
I donāt see filling Capelloās boots anytime soon, but 5 - 10 years from now anything is possible
lol ā4 hours of World Cup Soccer played and Rob Green is still our top goal scorer.ā
^_-;
The us boys played really well one of the better games compared to the last days. ItĀ“s a pitty that the referee had no clue whats was going on and equalized the 3rd goal of the usa.
I totally agree. When I was watching him coach on the sideline, he was just getting camera time whenever the ball was coming at his way haha. Totally forgot about him kissing the rosary.
I would love to see Argentina take this series.
Horrible games today with USA and England.
What a disgrace.
Wayne Rooney is a fat diva.
Capello is the typical gormless foreign manager who doesnt give a shit.
What is Heskey even doing here? Drop the dead donkey already.
At least David James was a class act.
I cannot stand John Terry or Frank Lampard, as people, or as players.
Algeria were smug, but rightly so.
Need that win next gameā¦ but yes, had a much better time watching the USA game today.
well atleast we just have to win to get in so we atleast have control of whether we move on or not. US players need to play the whole 90 minutes and weāll have a win for sure.
Tomorrow should be a great day. With a win for Holland they are sure to move on. Ghana can also clinch a spot tomorrow if they win.
Also, I wonder how Michael Bradley feels with his dad being the coach of team USA and him scoring today. It was a good day of soccer today, regardless of disappointments.
Iām still cheering for my number one team though, GO ESPAĆA!!!
Rooney shouldnāt start in the next game. Thatās all.
during the france vs. mexico game, i thought it was hilarious when the spanish commentator always pronounced ātoulalanā in an accent. haha.
