I would start throwing those vuvuselas at that ref, u.s. team has the right to be outraged cause that was BS. Great turnaround but the defense needs to step it up or show some passion. Theyâre really looking lax and troubled at times.

The retarded hand ball call in the first half, right before Sloveniaâs second goal, the âmysteriousâ foul on what SHOULD have been a goal, etc. Shit was just retarded. Good shit to the US for coming out the second half and actually acting like they are in the game. The angle on that Donovan shot was just crazy.
Mexico and Uruguay will both begoing for the win in order to avoid Argentina. That said, one team losing will mean France can go through with a win against South Africa, as long as they score a few. Mexico 2-0 Uruguay and a 2 goal France win would put France through, for instance.
Donât bet on the French ghoing home yet. Although they do look very toothless under Domenech, and the selection really raises eyebrows (Ribery in the middle, no place for Henry, Nasri left at home etc).
The referee sucked. Damn⌠A foul for stepping on the ball (funny, tough), an inverted free kick (pushed the Slovenian then took a dive) and then a completely legal goal off it. A number of the cards were well applied (deliberately stopping play or counter-attacks), but the one for controlling the ball in a weird way (with the neck???) and having called it handling was ridiculous. The guy is a joke.

I gotta say, that ref is lucky as hell he made that call against a country that doesnât really give a fuck about the sport.
Can you imagine if this situation had taken place and he made this ridiculous call against say, England, Argentina or Brazil? Professional hitmen would be falling over themselves to get to him.
What a terrible call, this could have gone down as the best comeback in American World Cup history, instead it came down to a robbery. Our chances of advancing took quite a shot. I donât think England will have much trouble in their next match.
But wtf is up with USA giving up goals at the start of the match? Itâs like we show up late to the game every time⌠Canât keep doing shit like that against the worldâs elite. But still props on playing their hearts out in the second half.
All in all though, that was an awesome game to watch. To bad it was marred by such a travesty of a call and that disgrace of a ref was fucking up all game long.

I have to completely agree with you guys. That fucking Ref made some stupid calls! There was no way he could have called a foul when everyone was grabbing everyone inside the box. He blew the fucking whistle over nonsense!
My friend is actually of Slovenian descent and heâs a die-hard soccer fan rooting for his country and even he said that call was bullshit.
However he also said maybe it was a make-up call because the original foul that gave the US that free kick was a bad call.
W/E, that ref was a tragedy the entire game.

Actually, from what I read from another forum, USA and neutral fans were throwing beer bottles and other objects at that ref. Supposedly, he was injured by one of the flying bottles as he was walking to the back.
