The Football (Soccer) Thread - Season 2017/2018

I know Nigeria had very little going for it, but the lost to Argentina pisses me off so much. SO flipping close in the second half…

Well at least the US showed up and got a tie.

Late in the second half, yeah it was closer. But Argentina had so many chances that game could have easily been 3-4 to nothing.

south korea baby!!!

It seems that playing matches on great heights also has it’s effects, especially with this ball.
Players have been complaining that this ball is too light, almost like a plastic ball.

 awesome!

I think Australia can give the Germans a hard time, especially since Ballack and Frings aren’t there, two of their best players during the last world cup. Frings not being in the squad hasn’t got anything to do with him not being good enough, their coach Löw just doesn’t get along with him, kinda the same shit Domenech has with Malouds but he took him to SA anyways inspite of it all.
Klose hasn’t been playing that much at Bayern München so i don’t know if he can actually make a difference, Muller has but this is his first big tournament with the national team so we’ll just have to wait and see how he performs on the big stage.

now I have your AV and that JPop stuck in my head!

Green’s fumble was hilarious. I hope John Stuart’s brittish guy gets air time

English*

We’re loving this as much as you guys are, trust me.

Well 3 very important players are hurt, which is never a good sign indeed.

Jogi made lots of questionable decisions, too. Specially concerning not taking Kevin over Gomez rofl, who has not done shit. Frings would easily be better then some of our midfielders but Jogi mentioned its not about the best players but the team … Oh well, we gotta trust him.

At least this german team will be completly different from what you’ve seen the past 4 years. Lots of gambles and one on one players. Nearly anything will depend on Schweini, Mesut Özil and Sami Khedira in terms of making any plays …

We still have more quality then Australia and thus I do hope they find a way to break the aussie defence.

One thing for sure, as the second youngest overall team they are able to run a lot. XD

French complaining about the vuvuzelas, World Cup organising chief considers ban.

i wish i was at the bar last night, there’s so many english here. it would have been funny to see the reactions to that shit.

LOL Algerian goalie pulls a Robert Green, closed his eyes and flapped his arms out like a school girl. Green is probably laugheing at that one

Can’t believe the Algerian sub, what was he thinking :lame: Camera showed the entire bench facepalm

Word. The Mexican announcers (I watch the soccer games on Univision) were ripping on him – saying stuff like “I hear at 7:30 they’ll be having a goal keeper seminar…Green and that guy oughta go JAJAJAJA”. But yeah, it’s pretty dope.

BTW, did anyone see one of the fans who climbed up one of the lights/poles? He was like 25 feet above the whole stadium waving his flag around. Mexican announcers were saying how it’s funny that there are dumb people everywhere you go.

Heck, another Goalkeeper providing the decision. XD

The picture of David Beckham doing the people’s eyebrow?. Taken from Univision, but uploaded to my site cause it’s impossible to link to the specific image (besides most of univision.com has naked women playing soccer so it’s nsfw) http://magnetro.com/Capture.PNG

This serbia vs ghana game is the best so far! ghana has the edge so far though.

LOL. France shoulda forfeited

It’s funny that they are blaming them for the low turn out, I’m pretty sure people decided if they were going to the game prior. It’s simple nobody is rooting for France.

I have to admit the algeria game was pretty loud, but its more or less a single note continuously being played so you phase it out.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

lolol! Yeah. They showed bars in NYC celebrating as if they had won :clap::clap::clap:

In other news, that guy from Serbia just handed ghana a goal : O

This is why I root for the US in sports.

Americans trolling the world > everything.
