The Football (Soccer) Thread - Season 2017/2018

Milan/Real Madrid and Barcelona/Inter (mostly for Ibrahimovic/Eto’o hijinks) are :wow:

The other groups look kinda meh.

lol @ Group B. Just put Man U into the knockout round if they’re setting shit up like that.

Good to see fellow Gooners here

So,

Notts County.

You think away trips to Russia, Turkey and Germany is an easy group for them?

aww, Man U and Wolfsburg in the same group? Well, thats the end for Horses. Group C appears to be the designated Group of Death.

They have home games against them too, so I don’t see those being easy for the other teams in that group. Not like Old Trafford is an easy road trip.

Dark Horse Pick: Atletico Madrid.

Also, I had no idea Prince William is president of The FA. Son of a bitch that’s awesome.

Does anyone know of any good websites for streaming the English Premier League live? Really need to see this Man Utd. vs. Arsenal game tomorrow.

channelsurfing.net or rojadirecta.com should have it

I’m excited about where Arsenal was placed in the CL draw (go gunners!), also like someone had said b4, lol @ group B.

put’s on futbol thinking cap:

looking at it though, i can see a couple of surprises happening. I see Dynamo Kyev making a solid run here, i think they may gave Inter a run for their money to get into the knockouts. I also see France sucking it up yet again in the CL (I’m predicting a Lyon 0-for). As far predicting a champion, as much as i love arsenal (and i LOVE me some Arsenal F.C.), it’s hard to not like Real Madrid after all the money they spent in the transfer period.

yeah Real Madrid is serious but money may not buy everything. As much of a Man. Utd fan as I am, I have to admit Chelsea and Arsenal are looking pretty deadly.

I can’t believe ESPN360 doesn’t have replays of EPL games. They’ve got Italy, Germany, Dutch, but not EPL or La Liga like they do on TV. I overslept and missed the Chelsea-Burnley game. I’m so pissed.

www.myp2p.eu for all your streaming needs.

Just click on Live Sports at the top.

Man U vs Arsenal, what a shitty game. Arsenal should have won that.

Arshavin should have got a penalty but he scored within the next 20seconds so after the celtic incident I guess this balances things out.

Ref was right to give a Rooney penalty, Almunia should of risked it and tested Rooney if he would dive instead of going for the ball. Its a shame because at the this point Arsenal were carving apart the Man U midfield. Then the own goal and everyones nerves came back whilst Man U screamed of confidence.

I’m so pissed at Eboue!!! its as if none of them are aware of the anger behind the Eduardo’s dive in the Celtic game, Eboue takes a dive and gets carded. Idiot.

We had so many good chances, after Diaby’s own goal he could have scored, I just wished it was Van Persie on the end of that since it was a left foot shot. Van had a couple of great chances aswell. Damnit!!

Someone explain how arsenal got twice as many cards as man u whilst made twice as many fouls. Fletcher didn’t even get one!!! :annoy:

News just in Celtic player sent off for diving in the penalty box :rofl::rofl:

Arjen Robben is with Bayern now, hussa … and I seriously hope they sell Ribery. That dude destroys the team and even management chemestry …:looney:

So…

I watched a random LIVE game of Chelsea(sp) against Burnley(sp) yesterday morning and happened to notice that this game was more exciting than 95% of the soccer games I’ve seen in my life. I’ve actually played soccer for AYSO and Club teams (18 and under) and this still is probably one of the most exciting games I’ve witnessed in my eyes. Chelsea won 3-0 but the attempts on the goal happened all the time…I think by the 60th minute it was like 20-3 Chelsea lol Even the ball handling/passing was awesome which makes me realize why soccer is huge in the UK. All these fuggas are 6’ tall and have great speed.

I’m Salvadorian and the only soccer I watch is every match El Salvador plays for World/Gold/Whatever cup they play on. By the end of the game both teams have made an attempt at the goal like 7 times TOTAL.

This has opened my eyes…too bad I live in the US where soccer is seriosly underappreciated.

Well, the British League IS considered to be the best in the world (their teams ALWAYS seem to be positioned well in the Champions League). I mean, in the last 2 years, 3 out of the 4 top teams in Europe have been British, what does that tell ya?

It’s only the English teams that are good. Welsh and Scottish teams are awful, bar Celtic and Rangers who end up doing shit in Europe because they play against shit teams every week domestically.

Also, it’s only really the top four English sides that are competitive in Europe. Man City might start making waves soon as they’re now the richest club in the world and are trying to do what Chelsea did after they got a mega rich owner.

Anyway, Shamrock Rovers for life!

USA are playing El Salvador today at 20:00 Eastern Time.

Fairly certain it’s live on ESPN.

If not, you should be able to find a stream on www.myp2p.eu

A win here should secure qualification for the US.

I’ll be watching it tonight and hopefully all you guys will be too.
