I don’t know much about Flash comics, so not sure who Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) is supposed to be, but his character is pretty confusing. I’m not sure if he’s a good guy or bad guy. Kind of don’t want to know though, so I can be surprised on his story. But good guys generally don’t kill in cold blood.
Unless they’re characters on this show that I haven’t seen or learned the names of yet, I don’t get it.
Well supposedly Dr. Wells is created specifically for the show. And truth be told I’m not buying that he’s Zoom.
After a fifth viewing of the pilot and third of this episode: the actors are fine. Some of the writing is still very awkward and clunky, though. Mostly little things, like the whole “we were all struck by lightning that day” spiel towards the end of ep 2. Villains of the week aren’t expected to act, really, I guess, but Multiplex’s performance is worse than any goon seen on Arrow.
This Barry really is basically Wally in a crime lab, but that’s to be expected. Ollie Queen is the established grown man in this universe; Barry will need time to grow into it.
Watching the rerun missed it last night.

you’re gonna hate the flash then. alot of the early stuff involves flashbacks. and its pretty clear we are getting crisis/flashpoint so even more flashbacks are to come.
we kinda all knew wally was gonna be the heart of the character sans a.d.h.d. a true young barry is just not interesting.
The show is doing just fine right now, it’s just the 2nd episode and it is only reasonable to give the cast/crew enough time to settle into things.
I’m plenty excited to see how they develop the supporting characters, villains, and the various creative things Barry can do with his super-speed. Arrow really started getting good almost halfway through it’s 1st season, this show at least deserves that same chance.

Also I can’t get into the Isis and Brock relationship knowing the characters and where they will end up. It doesn’t help that the Eddie Brock actor has a very punchable face. He reminds me of CB Dollaway a bit.

I’ve been waiting for an episode like this. Other gamers often made fun of me for wanting sublimation or gas control as a superpower - I’m surprised there aren’t that many characters that do it. There’s Vapor from the U-Foes in Marvel…and that’s about it.
Holy jesus fuck I keep confusing Robbie Amell with his cousin. So many freeze frames where I avert my gaze and I see Stephen out the corner of my eye.

Honestly I’m not sure but they’re gonna have to cut it out with the Wells bullshit closing out every week. The first two were fine as a reminder but this week’s was just doing it for the sake of doing it.

I’m not saying that the flashback wasn’t necessary. But did it really need to end the show this week?
I don’t know if they’ll do it at the end of EVERY episode, but it seems they’re doing some recurrent things and see what works. This is one of them…for now.
Obviously he’s building up the Flash for one reason or another, no matter what the consequences. He either doesn’t care about making metahumans, or simply using them to make him into a super hero. If he gained the powers but had nobody to fight, he wouldn’t be the same Flash.
im gonna lol if this has to do with wally somehow…LIKE SERIOUSLY LOL. i still got this crazy fuckin theory their gonna combine crisis and flashpoint to bring wally in or at least reference him as the future flash.
cause essentially barrys gonna need help by seasons end or at least season 2. his whole support structure is gonna explode lol.
