I gotta admit, they threw a decent curve-ball with Eddie Thawne. At least no time was wasted on that big reveal, we know they’re not afraid to go “there” early.
This was really good. I was actually impressed how they dealt with the special effects. It was also very compelling. I love all the villain reveals, too. The dude from Prison Break is a good choice for Captain Cold.

First ep gave me the same vibe as the first Spider-Man movie. I guess it’s the novelty of finally seeing a hero in live action with modern special effects.
They certainly wasted no time mindfucking the audience with Prof Zoom. Folks will learm quickly.

This is definitely going to be a hit…it has to be. Great special effects to be seen here, and they did not waste too much time setting up the origin story and concept of the character (*much faster than Smallville taking forever to get around to actual “superhero stuff”). As per the usual CW rules, it features some hot ass broads to look at, so that base is covered as well. Then, they have some serious villains already on schedule to appear very soon, as opposed to random no-name “monsters of the day”…and of course it already shows they have good faith in this with the dozens of commercials and a good timeslot. This is a winner right here.
*It appears the walls of the Friend Zone barrier are already starting to weaken, since Iris thought Barry was dead and had probably lost hope… the whole “absence makes the heart grow fonder” thing at play there, perhaps… for now, Pretty-Boy Cop continues to be the one hitting it though.
Good first episode. I had my reservations last season when they intoduced Grant Gustin as Barry but seeing him as Flash I’m feeling him as the character. And I would swim up in Danielle Panabaker and Candice Patton’s waters like my name is Moby Dick.

Sorry. I just want my ginger Iris. Coulda called her something else and introduced Iris as a separate character down the track. Love the chemistry, but this isn’t even close to representing the core of who Iris West is.
But hey, Linda Park showed up. Hopefully Wally won’t take too long to appear in future.
