I feel the same. After seeing Daredevil this show lost a lot of it’s luster to me. The Iris drama is the type of shit that drags this show down. God that was Smallville levels of bad. It also felt stupid how Barry just stood there in front of the Bees when Brie and Felicity were having their hacker battle. He could have gotten the fuck out of there at least. On the plus side, Ray Palmer feels more at home in this show than he does in Arrow.
It helps that Daredevil requires a lot less suspension of disbelief. Matt Murdock is no more powerful than a peak physical condition human so him getting his ass kicked and having to take a beating will always work. With Barry however, as he gets more powerful, it becomes harder to justify him not just ending every conflict within 2 minutes. Just like it’s harder to justify Ollie angsting every two seconds when Barry has friends of his own and is actually well adjusted.
Daredevil unwittingly (well, actually maybe intentionally who knows) revealed a LOT of flaws of the Arrowverse.
Yea I didnt understand that part, too be honest I couldnt really focus on the episode with that Iron Man reveal and how fucking stupid it was but the bees, he could just have stopped time and plucked the wings off or something.
I guess this was that one acceptable shit episode.
He could have cuffed Queen Bee the moment he arrived at her base instead of letting her unleash her swarm on him. How did she not find out his identity? Do those bees not have mics on them?
Hopefully Emily will be back again later…she’s too adorable, imo…
Ray is goofy…and his suit is looking like the cheap bootleg Dollar-store version of the Iron Man suit.
Iris is being unreasonably nosy…at least from her point of view, it should be understandable that a significant other who happens to be a detective or whatever is NOT going to talk about everything that’s going on at work.
I’m growing tired of Iris not knowing Barry’s secret. It serves no practical purpose with everyone else in his supporting cast knowing and it will only serve to draw out all the awful drama surrounding her.
Iris proved herself early on to be impulsive and stupid when it came to the flash. She went from anonymous blogger, to this is iris for no reason, and like immediately got kidnapped for it. There is no chess move in giving iris that info. There is literally no reason for it at all. So far there is zero reason iris should know, other than flash feeling bad, and eddie’s feelings about an irrational broad.
Daredevil is a peak human, but his enhanced senses generally make him more than your average human outside of physical prowess. There are a lot of situations he can handle, that others cant, because of his enhances senses, but other than that, i agree.
The flash is one of the most powerful characters in the DC universe, so a lot of times hes not gonna fucking do common sense shit so the episode can push a plot, and some things will contradict, but thats also because daredevil was pretty much written and directed as a one shot, while flash is here to please the teens, women, nerds, and last for like 7 seasons hopefully.
There is not one tv show about superpowers, the supernatural, etc., that doesnt have to just pull the punches a lot to keep the story going as a popular tv show. Without creating a shit ton of loopholes like vampire diaries, and the originals, its hard to write a show about supernatural individuals that is long standing, and not run into many crossroads where you have to create drama to avoid the obvous jobbing, and contradictions.
Daredevil and the flash are not comparable. I could write a daredevil 13 episode one shot right now, while drunk and sleeping 80 percent of the day. To make a character like the flash of all people, be a longstanding show that rivals smallville, you gonna have to get dumb shit now and then.
Put it like this. If comics allow dumb shit a lot just to progress the story, or get out of a certain story to further the development of characters/character, then wtf do you think a tv show has to do.
There no reason to keep from her neither. Being a journalist who’s primary job is covering the Flash she’ll be in danger regardless. The only reason she doesn’t know is because Joe doesn’t want her to know and that’s weak as fuck. In the rate this is going half of Central City will know who Barry is expect for Iris. If Iris knows then she’ll be better prepared when danger comes knocking at her door.
Ya. I’d have to go back and watch that episode, but yeah i recall something about that relationship going sour because wells wasnt playing ball on that shit.
Also, did you guys know this exist? Its cisco from the show, and its like a behind the scenes tumblr for his character. Havent read through it yet though.
just how many tests are out there besides evil bishop. maybe he really didnt fail. still dont get how grodd fits into the whole scheme of the bigger plan yet.
1. It’s either that metahumans existed before the accelerator incident, or the accelerator explosion’s range was almost global.
Maybe the energy from said device got weaker as it spread around the planet, but left enough faint traces of energy to create delayed metahuman, transformations everywhere.
2. Wells/Eobard knowing that his invention would create metahumans, designed smaller-scaled versions before or after the blast for whatever fucked-up reasons.
Is it known for sure that Wells’ personality and mind is still partially in tact inside his body after Eobard hijacked it? That would explain why he still has a compassionate and caring side (like how he cared about Grodd).
