Last week Cisco was killed. This week he’s deceived into thinking he was gettin’ some ass, had his brother kidnapped/tortured for new weapons and Barry’s identity, and had an alternate timeline discussion with Wells where we know he originally died. The writers really wanted to put him through a lot of shit.
I can’t lie, those thigh-high boots and mini-dress had me sweating a little bit. Did I sweat as much as Felicity in that serious-ass dress? No, but Iris was still shining this episode.

Really the Time Travel thing could’ve gone SO much worse. Right now these are actually better alternatives. Iris’ partner dies…but had Barry not taken Iris out of that story, Iris would’ve likely joined him. Cold found out Barry’s identity…but only because Cisco was alive long enough to tell him.
You don’t fuck with time travel but for all intensive purposes it didn’t fuck him back too hard.

Barry goes back 1 day. So…where’s the previous Barry? He just disappeared as he was running to the crime scene.
That’s to be resolved in another episode, I bet.
It could be that Barry’s powers allow him to merge with his past or future self in any timeline, or there’s something worse that we’ll learn about with the consequences of time-travel much later in the season (hence the fight with another Flash in that preview trailer).
Depends on the theory of time travel theyre using. That timeline of barry originally could have ceased to exist. It could be that barry is still existing in that timeline, and his time travel just created a new branch (likely scenario for this show in general). There appears to be a linear timeline that Wells is trying to follow also, that is affected by what barry does now, and wells is trying to protect barry from destroying the timeline he wants to go back to. Wells also hasnt learned to man handle the speedforce yet, so in the future he may not be so limited to his current goal of maintaining the timeline, because in a different timeline, it was probably already maintained, he just has to find a way to it.
Like wells not wanting barry to tell him anything about what happened is irrelvant, as it was already destined to happen anyways, but wells isnt aware of that info, as he is from the future, and this is his first time through the details of this current timeline. Wells super computer only tells him how that timeline has changed, not how to maintain the current timeline to preserve the one he is focused on.
Considering the massive changes barry just made to the timeline, and it was unaffected, it would appear more that what was suppose to happen this episode, was suppose to happen. Barry has created deeper issues with the timeline in earlier episodes.
I’m sure the show will float between linear views and interractions of time, mixed with there being an infinite branch of timelines and possibilities.
I believe the timeline where iris found out who barry is, is still going on. Barry experienced the same dejavu he did when he time traveled, only it was fleeting, because he was still in that timeline and didnt go anywhere. If you look again at the episodes, you see barry makes that same face, and has the same dejavu moment before time traveling.
I think i just confused myself. lol
