We’re back to having speed villains as the big bad?
y’know, this whole season… Cicada just doesn’t seem like someone Flash should have any difficulty in stopping…especially not with help. He appears to just be a dude with a meta-powered dagger…and I guess some ability to fly? At least how they’re presenting this guy on the show…he seems like nothing more than what should be a random bad guy that is handled in just 1 episode.

I would not be able to handle just being in her presence. There was a girl I had a major crush on back in junior high that looks just like her, so she also brings back those memories.

I don’t think you’ve been paying attention fam. Cicada’s powers neutralizes the powers of all dark matter metas. The Flash, Cisco, XS, and Elongated man have no powers when they fight him. Cicada on the other hand still has his. Killer Frost’s meta powers came from childhood, so she is the only person that has powers against Cicada.

On a related note; Earth-1 Reverse Flash played everyone for a fool (even Nora) and only Harrison Sherloque Wells from Earth-221 knows what’s really going on.
Which could be a huge plot twist!!! What if Harrison Sherloque Wells from Earth-221 is really Thawn/Wells from Earth-221 which means there are 2 different versions of Thawne in Season 5!!! (Mind Blown)…

Yeah it was a cool ep, that slow motion scene in the hospital and Barry’s reaction at the end were great.
I haven’t kept with the Arrowverse since the crossover but I guess I’ll watch how the seasons end.

so I’m getting caught up on this… quite an over-reaction from that woman’s husband and daughter, I think— she was revealed to them as a meta and tried to stop this weirdo “Cicada” that was trying to kill them…and they’re all pissed about this for some reason? 
if superhuman abilities became a thing for real… I always figured the average person would be more impressed and just think it’s cool…there would even be “meta groupies” wanting to fuck simply because you’re a superhuman.
*I looked up Cicada online a few days ago; apparently in the comics he’s effectively immortal since he steals life-force from people…it’s not looking like they’ll touch that aspect of the character in the show at this point.
*adult version Grace is looking quite tasty, btw.
*Nora continues to be one of the absolute finest women I’ve ever seen in life…goddamn that girl is ridiculous.

that woman’s family, I mean…they were angry that she kept her powers a secret all this time, apparently… in that situation the more important thing is that she did what she could trying to save them…eh, a nitpick but it seemed odd they would react that way. Besides, wouldn’t most kids just think “whoah, Mom has superpowers! Awesome! Do I get powers too!?”
