Why didn’t Barry go back to get Zoom or Thawne. He got Captain Cold. I mean either of them wouldn’t let another speedster like Savitar kill Barry. They want Barry for themselves. Also, wouldn’t Savitar be considered an anomaly like Thawne from Legends? Isn’t the Black Flash after Savitar as well?

Because that would be fucking retarded. Zoom and Thawne want to kill Barry. If anything, they would team with Savitar. Also, I’d wager Thawne would find it hilarious that Barry created his own worse enemy in the form of himself. And Zoom would say something like, “I told you that you could have ended up like me.” Barry has nothing to threaten Thawne with. You’re talking like Thawne and Zoom play the role of Vegeta and Barry is Goku. You think Thawne wouldn’t help Savitar get Iris? Or that Thawne wouldn’t aim to kill Joe? The only thing Savitar, Thawne, and Zoom have in common is that they want to see Barry suffer. If anything, what would make sense would be a team up of Jesse, Wally, and Barry vs Savitar.
Regarding Savitar and the Black Flash, Thawne explained it. The Time Wraiths only go after those who time travel and don’t know what they’re doing. Which is why they went after Barry and Zoom but not Thawne or Savitar. Also, remember when Barry went back in time to get Thawne to help him get faster? You noticed how he DIDN’T mention Zoom? He only mentioned the anomaly that created that hole.

Watched it again. Based on the lead up to the scene, the focus of the camera and the characters’ reactions, I’m 99% certain that HR swapped places with Iris.

The problem with that theory is that HR was on Earth 1 when he told Savitar, so how he could beat him to Earth 2 to swap places with Iris?
Now it’s still possible, but that means either of two things: Harry switched places with HR to play his gullible counterpart and trick Savitar, or Harry was there on Earth 2 and traded places with Iris so he was the one who ended up dead.
I just hope they don’t reveal that trick to Barry (and the audience) in the beginning of the season finale. A Barry motivated by Iris death to stop Savitar is a more powerful/interesting way to play with the audience’s emotions. And ofc Savitar won’t come after Iris again if he, like Barry, thinks she’s dead. You do this and you get a powerful season finale that ends on a good note (Barry marrying Iris).
Again, if that’s really what happened…
Then at the very end of the season finale, you see that the real Savitar was Julian all along! Shit’s gonna swerve. Just watch!!!

See, now this is an example of bad writing to point out. Though in fairness, even if Savitar didn’t have his super speed, he’d still have a huge ass suit of armor with spike blades so he still would be tough to stop.

If they were going to hide Iris on another Earth why not Supergirl’s Earth? Kara, J’ozz and Mon-el would stomp Savitar.
