I don’t like it either, but i would still consider web ball enders pretty strong. It’s not crazy dance, but it gives ample time to set up stuff. I might change up my team to be more projectile focused after the patch, since my corner trap stuff with Hulk won’t work anymore.
Spidey got hit pretty hard. Not that he’s bad now or anything but he definitely got nerfed. Resets are harder now that the opponent can roll after recovering from web ball capture state. Nerf to web zip piercing made some match ups like Jedah a lot harder (used to be able to zip through pin wheels. Can’t anymore).
I already posted this in the venom forums but its probably more pertinent to spiderman, I tried air teching in all directions before recording and uwt beat all tech options, it seems pretty solid

Okay I play Hawkeye with Power Stone so I hear Spidey is grimey with it too. I can do the week 1 “COMIN AT YA!” loop pretty consistently but I’ve found it always seems to drop on small characters and I’m having trouble opening people up to actually start the loop. Is there a more consistent “go-to” BNB these days?
I’m also not sure of any real combo that leads into anything besides Maximum Spider which is kinda disappointing with Hawkeye as a partner with his poison arrows. Used to playing with people like Gamora or Venom who have supers with long-ish animations to stack a few poison arrows and set up some arrows during it, but not sure of any ways to get extra damage after a tag right now. Ideas?
Also, I can usually start a loop after hitting a raw power stone with Spidey if I do it and dash over, otg HP into web swing > loop. Is there a better option off power stone since it seems a little inconsistent? Also, any go-to combos off a super like a Gimlet? I don’t know what to besides dash over power stone > web grab or something.
His little “comin at ya” loop doesn’t seem to work in power storm either =(
I myself like to use the web ball loop that I use in the video right above your comment, it leaves more room for super choice whether its crawler assault or maximum.
As far as raw power stone, I do dash up hp hk hpwebball hp hk hpwebball tag and it only works on a 100% raw power stone, webzip powerstone doesnt allow the combo to work. That combo probably works off of a raw gimlet too but idk the properties of that move even, I only seen like 3 hawkeye players
Wow, can’t actually remember since I’ve last posted here. Saw Geobraun got top 8 at NEC last weekend. He was running Spider-Man + Hawekeye which reminded me of my old Spidey/DrDoom/Hawkeye team back in UMVC3 days.
Glad the same guys playing Spidey are still here doing work. Is this still the place to be for tech? I’ve seen some users advise to check more stuff on twitter and discord but I’ve never made accounts on those.

Bought the game day one but haven’t played it at all. Just too busy with work and family now. I wonder if the game still gets updated though because of the bad PR it has been receiving since its demo was released.
Want to play again but somehow lost all my motivation to compete which feels really alien to me. Not just for this game but for any games I’ve been playing. I hope they announce something random to get me jumping on the game.
Dude, just play. You owe it to yourself after enduring the pain of forever mid-tier MvC3 Spidey. Spidey is so much better in this game, especially with power stone. It’s just so nice to finally get some derp.
Your situation sounds almost exactly like mine, and I still manage to get some game time in after my son goes to sleep every night. Just start playing some ranked, and the motivation will come.
