Right I’ve spoken to SE support again directly, this is the info fed to me:

Currently even though the page is live to the public, it’s not actually working as intended.

  • Don’t use the http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/ (or na / jp) link(s) as it won’t work.
  • Everyone will be notified, that entered their email address into the official site previously as to when the page is actually ‘actively functioning’ to redeem your codes.
  • The XXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX-XXX , 18 digit code you receive from your retailer you purchased the pre-order from IS the code you use @ http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/ but only to be used when the community (as a whole) is notified via email that the page is up and functioning officially for use. Support advised me to advise anyone, not to use the page until said notification email is received (he approximated within the next 24/48 hours)
  • I asked them “Is my code now void…” because the game is now registered against my SE account but on PC instead of PS3, they reassured me that the code will not be void and to try it again when the page is active. If it doesn’t work, then to phone them directly and they will address it.

Hope this alleviates some concerns or confusion.

just got my msi gtx 760. ran the benchmark at max settings i got 9027 score.very happy about that. just one problem. the video card went up to 82c degrees. thats kinda hot especially if i will be playing for hours and hours. is there a way to make it cooler.? i got this video card just to play at max settigns so if i play this game for hours at that temp the video card will die fast. any advice?

yea but the 760 shouldnt be getting that high.its suppose to take this game head on with no problems. the video card itself already has 2 fans. maby the benchmark is more demanding.hopefully the full game wont get the video card this hot

Gonna be sad times when everyone rushes to max level and only hangs around high level areas or grinds end game content. Low-mid level zones will quickly turn barren which will suck since some of the low level notorious monster FATES like that giant Ochu fight in the East Shroud was pretty fun when you have 20 underleveled players participating. Even when people go back and level secondary classes they’re probably just going to exploit and have guild mates power level them or they only do dungeons within their own social circles.

I’ll be doing PUGs or teaming with the poor saps standing in front of dungeons shouting for parties. Better to help people on the same server anyway. The better your own server’s players get the more confident they become and willing to do PvP instead of boring PvE all day… this game does have World vs World PvP, right?
