@SWBeta: Fuck man, ain’t gonna lie, I’m jelly on dat mining gear. Did you Leves-burn or actually mined all that mining xp? I have about 60 Leves to burn…thinking of burning thru once I ding lvl 40 miner.
Weekend Accomplishment:
Got Gladiator 25-30 and unlocked Choco Fighter Turbo-Edition!
Progressed abit in the main story line
Spoiler
-Finally unlock and tanked first time Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak. Boss is easy if the tail is destroyed otherwise it turns into a clusterfuck
First HQ item sold at AH for 10k! Fuck yea
-Got GS 34-37 and managed to HQ 2 craft earrings.
-Got Mining up 31-33. Feels like this craft takes the longest to level up compare to the others ones.
Burned the shit out of 'dem leves. I mined regularly for exp (using the exp+50% item and taking advantage of rest exp) until about 35, then that shit started taking TOO damn long. So I tried a leve, just to see how much exp it gave. Never looked back. I had 90 allowances so that shit was enough to get me from 35 to 47ish. The last 3 levels were brutal. I had no more company seals to buy the exp+50% so I had to grind normally. Fucking painful.
For battle jobs/classes, leves are shit, but for gathering classes, leves are beyond godly. Don’t know about crafting. I know they were godly before because of the exp exploit, but I’m sure SE killed that sometime during the last two patches.
Tried it with a crew we wiped like 5 times and that was it for people. Just me and the tank tried to stay strong and campaign near chimera for another crew.
Guess what tho no takers.
I snuck into another crew but the tanks got to beefing. One had full darklight and was tanking for profit. I think the WHM had brought him there to tank. Next thing you know the whole party cept me, him and the WHM had wiped.
But then like a minute later we fell victim.
We go to start back the weaker tank says yo let me tank chimera, then stronger dude clowned his armor then it was gear check time. I was like lemme bounce now cause Af gear means nodda to some people.
I did fell better when the tank sent me a msg saying for my first runs to stay alive with gear i had on was impressive.
So now im thinking where do i run to get better gear? and who wants to do these runs with me? SMDH wish i had more leves for Alchemist guess i just gotta wait.
So imma be on later I expect to see on the chat
Yo rodimus ready to do chimera??
Rodimus ill help you with your relic runs
But real talk Im down for whateva run, better gear, relic etc.
Oh yea if anybody has any hq blue landtrap leaf/ves please be kind and give those to me, thank you.

Currently at level 14 contemplating being a conjurer of white magic or not. So far just being working on the hunting log and doing any quest.
Darklight gear is the first step. You buy those with Tome of Philosophy currency. You get those by doing raids in Amdapor Keep, Wanderer’s Palace, and Castrum Meridian (or whatever it’s called). Amdapor gives the most currency, and also gives Tome of Mythology currency (which is used to buy your Relic armor), but Amdapor is also the hardest. Hit me up when you get online.
Also, here is a video for you to watch. Ignore/skip the filler and go straight to the boss fights. Memorize the boss fights. If you don’t understand something, ask and I will explain.
Oh, and sometime in-between your runs, you want to join the occasional Ifrit Hard Mode group. Ifrit drops one random weapon every time he dies. Keep doing Ifrit HM runs until he drops Ifrit’s Spear. That’ll be your best weapon until Garuda HM.
When you’re pretty well geared in DL stuff this early, Chimera and everything else after becomes more manageable/easier.
So basically:
Do AK/CM/WP runs to get enough currency to buy DL gear.
Do Ifrit HM and get weapon.
Kill Chimera and Hydra.
Do Garuda and Titan HM.
Do more AK/CM/WP runs to get currency to buy the oil (900 ToP) for your Relic weapon.
Get Relic weapon.
If you’re only doing AK runs, you’ll probably have enough ToM to buy a few of your Relic armor.
Do more AK runs until you are fully geared in Relic armor and Darklight accessories.
Get Relic +1s (I haven’t looked up how to do these yet)
After Relic +1s, you do Binding Coil of Bahamut, which is the final and most difficult endgame raid in the game so far.
Beat BCoB, celebrate, get strippers, and party, then wallow in despair when you realize there is nothing else to do (level a new job or pick up gathering/crafting) until Square releases the next expansion.
Also, check your PMs.
Everyone, please post up your skype username. I’ll add you on skype and in the ffxiv group so we can teamspeak. Pozerwolf not allowed
Nice writeup overall, but there are a few things I’d do differently. AK has the most value overall of the available dungeons, coming in at 80 philosophy tomes and 40 mythos, but it is not the most for just philosophy tomes. That honor belongs to Castrum Meridianum and The Praetorium which come in at 100 philosophy tomes. The reason I bring this up is because there is a 300 per week cap on Mythology tomes. With this in mind, the maximum efficiency course of action is to do a total of 8 AK runs a week to accure that 300 mythology cap, then move onto CM speed runs to make your Philosophy tomes.
Keep in mind if you crack out on this you won’t have to do it for long, so it will get to a point where you’ll just want to do AK (or whatever the best Mytho return is by the time you get to the point where maximizing Philosophy is irrelevant), but until then make sure you’re getting the most out of Castrum. That, and please don’t be the guy who goes into Amdapor Keep fresh out the gate. Do yourself a favor and get an Ifrit weapon in addition to some iLevel 55 Gear from Wanderer’s Palace and a smattering or two of Darklight Accessories/Pieces. You don’t wanna be the guy who causes the wipe on Demon Wall because your dps wasn’t high enough.
Is there a way to create a macro to blacklist spammers in /shout and /yell? Right now I’m right-clicking their name, clicking friend request so that I have their name in front of me, manually adding them to blist, and then canceling the friend request.
I need to catch up on my main quest line. I’m only at 24 in the main quest line, but my conjurer is 28. At this rate, I’ll probably hit 30 by Thursday and get White Mage. I’m tempted to level up arcanist to 30 too, so I can get scholar.
Man, these huge aoe FATE zergs are getting insane. It’s crazy watching groups of 50-60 people running from FATE to FATE.
I’ll have to take a deeper look at those runs now that I got 50 on the war km having to raise glad a bit and eventual I need to take pugilist to 40+ for mantra.
Those cross class abilities can make a huge difference.
