Been trying to PUG Garuda (Hard) using DF. By the time people finally figure out what to do after repeated trial and error, they leave or you run out of time. Then, you have no way of contacting the competent people you met for another shot and have to start over from scratch. Screw doing anything even remotely difficult via DF.

Tanking pug instances at 50 is draining. Half the pugs who queue for amdapor don’t have the gear to beat the second boss, or even the first boss really. People are terrible at interrupts on hard mode ifrit, and if you don’t get a black mage or summoner in the group people will just leave (somewhat understandable). People just leave a lot in general, which i find weird as even for a tank my queue is about a minute or 2 long, so I don’t see why you would wait for an hour as a dps only to leave after 1 or 2 wipes because someones never done the instance before. It’s all giving me a headache, yet I want to keep going because I am a whore for gear…
So I might be getting ff14 for my birthday. Are people still having log in problems? How is the game stacking up so far? Any concerns with the game atm?
I played two one hour sessions today. Had zero issues logging in. Well, the second I sat in the queue for a couple of minutes, but I’ve had no 1017 errors or issues with the server list not populating.
How can I switch gear sets with a single keystroke? Do I have to create macros for that?
I’m surprised. I play on my laptop and during beta every time I logged in from a different IP, SE freaked out and made me reset my passcode. But since the game went live, I’ve been doing the same thing with no issues.
I couldn’t create a character on Leviathan, but maybe I’ll transfer once they’re available. My server’s alright. People are pretty helpful. Nobody talks in guildleves though, and I haven’t had the chance to do a dungeon yet.
Got my glad to 15 woop.
I also discovered cutscenes are skippable at least on redo’s, haven’t tried first time cause I want to see them.
Should I go ahead and try to get into dungeons at his level?

Looks like that Crafting powerlevel ‘trick’ doesn’t work all the time; the npc doesn’t always ask for another HQ item or maybe it happens at lvl 30+(?) Anyways, been grinding GS and Mining. Both are lvl 20 now :tup: . Getting that HQ spark is too good.
