Yeah, you can make custom endgame weapons. There’s a way to customize that shit with Triple Overdrive, Break Damage Limit, One MP Cost, and anything else that you want. It’s usually character-dependent.

He comes before but it’s possible to have a encounter with him later on in the game.

Also lobelia give cure to Barret. Since he’s not a great magic user so early in the game he shouldn’t be depended on general atk spells (unless you are exploiting boss weaknesses). If Tifa and Cloud are there they should be focusing on attacking.

Got it. Cure goes to Barrett.
Also, the Shinra building is tense as fuck. The mood is really sinking in. Shit is picking right the fuck up for this game. I’m psyched.

I’ve done it. I once got all of Cloud’s limit breaks before leaving the first screen of the game that has random encounters.

And they still won’t be as good as the actual endgame weapons because those have hidden attributes (Caladbolg, for example, secretly has the Ultima Weapon effect, where it does extra damage dependent upon the user’s HPbecause in the Japanese version, the Caladbolg is the Ultima Weapon) that make them better than any custom weapon.

Yeah, and that extra damage is outrageously inconsistent because the HP level of a character is outrageously inconsistent. Customizing endgame weapons is time-consuming and requires a ridiculous amount of grinding, but the end result is the most effective one possible.

What makes the cusoms better than Wakku’s final weapon is you don’t have to play Blitzball.

I think it’s time I really master that shit though. It’s the only game I’ve played and haven’t fully gotten 100% on, and it’s time that changed.

Ugh. I absolutely hated Blitzball with a passion. Worst mini game in FF imo.

My favorite Final Fantasy mini-game is Sphere Break, but that’s probably because I haven’t played Triple Triad.

What would your favorite be?

I want to say mine would be the card game from VIII, but I’m not sure.

Triple Triad was fun, but man sometimes the house rules fucked you over…I hate losing a big card cuz of some dumb house rule…

I’ve never had a problem with Tidus’s ultimate weapon and damage…I always hit for a consistent 99,999…

Wow, I thought that grinding towards LV2 spell achievement was more than enough at that stage of the game. Had no idea people went as far as getting 3, that’s a lot of training. Cloud’s limits are rather easy to get, I had them all just when I hit the shinra building.

I was one of the only people I met who really liked Sphere Break. I have a secret weakness and adoration for math, and Sphere Break was just math at 400 miles per hour.

I remember in the official guide they had for FFVII back near release, they showed a screenshot of cloud doing meteorain at the last fight at the top of the shinra tower. Naturally, my brother and I sought to match these conditions, and eventually did.

I fucking loved Blitzball, once you turn off that Auto garbage. Triple Triad remains the most awesome FF mini-game, though.

I just got Red XIII. From the one boss fight I’ve gotten into with him, I’m satisfied as hell. He’s great.

Ditto. Absolutely loved the card game in 8.
Maybe the submarine game in FF7 as well.

VIII’s card came (Triple Triad, I believe) was pretty awesome. Other than that, I tend to stay away from the side games. unless you count the hunts in XII as a side game.

Blitzball was an atrocity.

Holy shit at the folks who had all limit breaks and Lv.3 magic that early in the game.

I kinda liked the motorcycle mini-game they had once you finish the shinra building. For the most part, grinding as hell in Midgard was the shit including getting Cloud’s limit breaks before starting the Coliseum event to get Omnislash and a couple of materia (can’t remember which ones). I remember when I played the game, I got master materias for everyone (didn’t take too long to get them master). I always believed that Aerith’s final limit is OP/Broken, no wonder Square Enix had to kill her. Lobelia I recommend you see it for yourself and let me know what you think of it. I think the game gets chaotic is when the weapons come out

Grinding is seriouz business.

As far as mini-games go, I guess Triple Triad was my favorite. But all I did for strategy was try to overpower the other play with GF and character cards. I remember trying to get the Laguna from Ellie, that took me a couple of days.:wasted:
