Need some more power levelling too, wanna get into the “special” end game dungeons. The end game is where this game really shines for me so far.

Isn’t it just one dungeon? I’m missing 4 royal weapons, but I thought that 3 of those were accesible without having to beat the game? Oh well, I’m putting this game down for a week or two before resuming. Gotta play it fresh anew.

Weird, I think he’s pretty useful in combat. His first tech gets me the follow up attack 95% of the time and does really good damage and doesn’t take half as long to pull off as Gladio and Ignis attack techs… He’s also funny and keeps things from getting too fucking heavy and serious. He’s the Yufie/Selphie/Rikku character, except done right and not annoying as fucking shit all the time.

I’m at the part of the game where you’re separated from Prompto and his absence is EXTREMELY noticeable. A very strong case of “kick out the comic relief because shits about to get real.”

Everyone is finishing up and I’m still at the ferry port fishing… I’ll be 100 hrs in before I even get deep into the story, as my friend said “dood, everyone already has grand kids or dead”

Speaking of which.,…Just finished the story tonight lol. Like Gasa I really enjoyed the ending and most everything leading up to it. It was really touching and well done imo, made me like the game ven more, tho I do have my little issues with the game as well.

Everything inside the Empires Capitlal City sucked tho, I didn’t really enjoy any of that segment. Everything on the train was pretty good, and then you hit the city and the game just changes tone and pace and not in a good way. Once that’s over and done with tho the game goes back to being good again. Was talking to Gasa about it and I think he’s right, it’s not that what they did was bad, but that it over stayed it’s welcome.

Boss fight outside The Citadel was the fucking highlight of the main story fights, that shit was fuckin siiiiick.

[details=Spoiler]only part I really disliked was the entire ring segment. Ugh that ring is garbage. It does shit damage and just flat out doesn’t work on most daemons outside of that chapter. Especially post game.

Fav boss battle are easily The final, then Aranae and Leviathan. Those were legit epic. Fighting Aranae 1000 feet in the air was too dope. It was one of the moments where the game really took advantage of the warp strike feature

Ignis by far is my fav out of the trio. He’s just a good dude.

Glady turns into a major tryhard once Noct starts the grieving process. Like he lost his Dad and Luna. We get it… he has a duty as King but damn. Really made me not like his ass for the 2nd half of the game. Plus he was legit pissing me off in the Marlboro lair. Kept talking shit…but I ran ahead anyway bc idgaf. I’m the king lol.

I liked Prompto. He was a much needed relief throughtout the game imo.

One thing I felt we got gyped on tho was Ragus (Luna’s big bro) like the story hypes him up. He sons you and your crew early in the story. Then he jobs off screen. I’ll only accept his death if it was Ardyn that killed him.

Overall I’m still doing post game stuff but I like 15 a lot. Def not perfect but I’m having fun. Lvl 60 right now while the trio are lvl 56.

Favorite weapons are the rogue shrunken, sword of the mystic, sword of the wanderer and Sceptor of pious. Still lvling engine blade.

can some explain how the season pass will work? from my understand there will be time release episodes for the individual characters and after that the multiplayer dlc, I’m guessing the holiday pack comes out soon? and there is also a weapons pack but how do I access this?

So I went in to Daurell caverns way earlier than I was supposed to, triggered the boss and then ran away. Now I can’t get him to appear and I need to finish the dungeon for the post game dungeon quest to trigger

I actually went back to a previous save. I’m in no rush to finish the story. Not that enamored with it anyway. The game itself is fun. I think I’ll just run through side quests for the time being.

In case you didn’t know: You can jump back to the open world at any time without using older saves.

You can’t use Umbra in Chapter 13.

So like, seeing as how people have already figured out how to beat adamantoise in an hour without being remotely close to completing the ascension grid…is there a point at all to it? Like in FFX international version which had tons of extra hard bosses. Doesn’t seem like anything in this game comes close to needing those really high post-game stats.

omg that chapter 13 though. it feels like they added it for the player to meditate on the other games we’ve spent 60 on, which last like 6 to 12 hours and are completely linear. this is what I did and the chapter felt a LOT better

WARNING- do not go there if you’re not strong enough to finish the dungeon. I like to explore so I dodged most enemies and caught some nice fish and got a few good items when I went in under leveled. Got to the boss and had to bail as he was way to strong for me. This triggered the first major bug I’ve encountered in the game making it so the boss won’t respawn and I can’t finish the quest.

This has effectively locked me out of all the post game dungeons unless they patch it or I go through the whole game again.

Sucks.

So you just did that one dungeon and then kept going through the game and found this out later? So you can’t use an old save? That is shitty if so lol. That being said, you probably have to wait for new game plus. Hope they release a patch soon to address stuff like this and what sucky is going through.
