I played a few more hours and it’s fun just very different. I think I’m getting the hang of the battle system finally.

God those fucking cats keep stealing that potion or whatever it is.

I don’t know about you guys, but I keep trying to finish all the quests at Luxerion first before I advance to other areas. I have 5 days left and I just started exploring Ysnansnans whatever its called.

Seriously, sidequests are good but I think S-E didn’t want you to gorge yourself on them so damn much so early.

I think this is a fine alternative to the OG FFXIII’s linearity. I think it’s nice for a game to have some sense of urgency. Not too little where you can sit around doing nothing and be fine, yet not too much where you can’t do ANYTHING but the main missions without failing.

Whoever brought up chronostasis, thank you! I literally was at 5:50am, when I started spamming Chronostasis, trying to complete the dead dunes main quest and with 10 min before 6, I found all tablets and finished the dead dunes quest thanks to chronostasis and enough enemies to keep it going. My second run through is basically going to be done in the first five days thanks to understanding how to manipulate chornostasis…

I’m really liking it now that I’m getting used to everything. I’ve been spamming the hell out of Chronostasis so I can try and do as much as possible.

I got another question for those of you who are further in the game. For synthesis, you know when you go to synthesize an ability that’s already leveled up and it says “this is already at max level but you can add auto-abilities”. How do you do it? I’ve tried taking a regular ability that’s leveled up and synthesizing it with an ability that has let’s say Strength +10, and nothing happens. It just stays the same.

Do I need some materials that I haven’t come across yet or something like that?

Ok so I was able to beat Caius now, but damn I didn’t even get a 1 star score. That’s right 0 stars.
I will be seeing that mofo again in the ark, I will get those 5 stars.
Anyway, I’m also using Chronostasis as much as I can I’ll give my complete opinion of the game when I finish it.
I like it so far, and I really really hated the original XIII so I guess it does something right.
