yeah dude, andy has one of the top bison’s in the country…lol…no shame in that at all

however if he beat Andy… then… i would have to give a virtually bear hug. But good stuff YouLost, D’Nyce should have kept his composure though,

Wow. Didn’t know I was playing someone like that! I guess it’s better that way cause my nerves would have been shot. Lol. Well after he ran through some guy named perfectlegend he was nice enough to give me a tip which I will share with you all cause Bison is my worst match up. In that match i neglected to focus cancel so he said I should focus cancel more.

Thankfully i know someone who plays Bison actually 2 people, It’s not my worst match up… but it’ll be useful. cr lp > cr hp is very useful in this match up though from my experiences.

RB vs Wong

God damn stream switch…

i feel you blooddrunk. i was like… oh snap… he picked guy. i feel like guy can eliminate rufus divekick pressure. i haven’t been able to test my theories against rufus with guy because there’s no high level rufus’ where i live. but from what i can tell before the stream switch. dude was giving jwong problems.

2D illuminati…

Good luck to the guy players out there. Too bad we didn’t make it this year! ;__; But next time we will. Yo Kev what happend? I heard you didn’t get to go to Evo. Also Krey what didn’t you go?

RB’s guy is pretty legit.

made it to semi finals of my pool. this evo was an amazing experience. ive definitely learned a lot and my game has stepped up 10 fold. i think im going to place really well at my next major. now just gotta get ready for my smash major in 2 weeks…

Who you play in Smash?

smash64 > brawl > melee

=0]

So I heard/read somewhere that Ryan Hart played Guy in the high roller tournament at the salty suite,vs Tokido?I heard he lost. Can anyone confirm?

@ Blooddrunk

I main Zelda, i also use Lucario / Pit for certain MU’s. i know zelda is 3rd from last on the tier list but i love using her and im pretty good at brawl too. I used to play with mikeHAZE on a regular basis when i lived in california, along with richbrown, Zell, etc.

are you joking? Brawl is garbage. Melee is a much better fighting game. Brawl isn’t a fighting game. It’s a party game. Melee had combos, Brawl barely does.

It’s Melee>S64> Brawl.

It’s like releasing a new version of street fighter 4, without focus canceling, links, and random tripping.

I played in Miami a lot during the Melee days, playing people like flowinwater, neo, and even went to MLG Orlando during those times. It was really a disappointment when Brawl came out, but hey, if it wasn’t for Brawl, I probably wouldn’t have been as into SF4 as I am now.

dude chill lol everyone knows that competitively, Melee > Brawl. I played competitively for about 4 years in melee. used to go to Kens biweeklies. played a lot with Ken, Isai (when he would come down), BoB$, Zell, Sparky, Mango, DSP and many others. I was playing with the heavy hitters. people bitch about brawl too much just because there isnt wavedashing / shffling / etc. Brawl is actually a pretty balanced game, for the most part. the gap between characters isnt as big as it was in melee, except for MK. i mean really…if you take the top 3 from melee (fox, shiek, marth), the gap between those three, and the rest of the cast is HUGE. if you take the top 3 in brawl (excluding MK) which would be snake, diddy, falco, the comparison between them and the rest of the cast isnt as large as it is in melee. marth can easily hang with them, D3 can easily hang with them, Oli can easily hang with them. and stage counter picking is much more important as well. brawl is just the same way as SF4 is in terms of the fact that its much more based on character specific matchups as opposed to the top three characters ruling the game. Brawl isnt as bad as EVERYONE makes it seem.

are you from miami?
i got a group of friends that are the best players u’ll ever see in Smash64
if u r, hit me up

Did I click the wrong sub-forum? Oh, guess not, that’s weird.

I don’t main Guy at all but I just wanted to comment that there was an uber nice Guy in Pool O. I feel he’s worth mentioning big time. I didn’t catch who he was or anything at all. We set up two casual stations in the far back corner of the ballroom and he happened to pass through there to warm up. (There was a big group passing through there to warm up on the stations). Dude was uber nice to watch as he didn’t miss a single link and made sure that he maximized the damage on punishes.

I was in pool O but I didn’t get any casuals with anyone in the tourney room. I did take out another Guy player in my second match though so that could’ve been him. Really close match, came down to the last round of the last set. Unfortunately after that I had to face Tatsu’s vega and that didn’t exactly go too well. Then, because of a 3 hour lay off and major sleep deprivation I didn’t care any more in my losers bracket match and lost to Joon the baboon’s Ken.

Pools were a giant clusterfuck but I guess they got the job done. Otherwise, it was a great tournament.
