I dont know if I can speak for everyone, but I would only bitch about a bosses cheapness if beating him over and over were required to unlock all the characters. Since in KOF12 theyre all unlocked at start Id love a boss thats fun and a bitch to beat. Without a boss it felt incredibly anticlimactic.
The boss thing wouldn’t work because they already made achievements/Trophies of finishing arcade mode at a certain time. Adding boss will ruin those achievements/trophies.
This will sound stupid, but I totally wanted to show my GF how embarrasingly hard Super Mega Ultra Terminator Rugal was going to be, only to find there was no boss. (…yes I’m serious). So i must agree with wanting a boss, and I want that cheaply hard boss. KoF is known for having an impossibly hard boss. It’s tradition!
That and possibly more modes forfighting. 1v1 online and what not.
Guys, I went to the facebook and I could only find people complaining about the netcode, and stupid shit like no Mai, no K’…I saw a few posts here that confirmed you can unbind your opponent’s keys in online matches, yet I saw none on the facebook page. If it’s legit, that is a BIG flaw. Has the unbinding thing been confirmed as a hoax?
*and if you play this game with the stage bgms as your custom soundtrack (minus Jubei’s) from Fatal Fury Special, it really fits. It’s like it belongs in the game or something.
Really, all they need to add is K’, Mai and king and I’d be happy. I don’t use any of those 3, it just seems weird not having them in a KoF game at this point.
Oh, and if this “Boss” character isn’t Geese, then I don’t care.
Now that I think about it, I would just like everybody who only has 2 moves to have a third from a pre-existing game. Mature and a couple others feel really poor. We don’t even need new characters, just more specials for a couple characters. If they wanted to do another character, Mr. Karate would be so easy they could crank him out in a week or so.
Start with Ryo.
Add tengu mask to all frames
Change Gi pallet to any dark colors not shared by Ryo
Use the same animation for kou ou ken, but make it a full-screen projectile
Make Koho weak but multihit (3 weak, 6 strong)
Use same Koho animation for shinshoryu-style Build Upper Dm, add Krushnood-style streak when it rises
Ryuuko Ranbu as second DM, no new effects needed
Lower pitch on Ryo voice samples, maybe add echo
Done. DLC dat nigga.
