Seriously, the number of things that can go wrong and lead to your “private photos” being leaked are enormous. Even if you’re using a simple point and shoot digital camera with no internet access you risk having your photos exposed by accident, as in:
- The other person can share these photos after a break up
- Someone can steal the memory card or camera from you or the other person
- You forget to delete the photo and borrow or let someone else use the camera/memory card
- You delete the photo but borrow or let someone else use the camera/memory card and they use a software like Recuva, to recover deleted photos
And all of this without the photos ever leaving the camera/memory card. You can guess how many things can go wrong once the photos are copied to a computer/laptop/tablet/phone…
The simplest and safest thing to do is to keep your private moments to yourself and/or your significant other’s eyes and memories, no pictures and no movies, especially if you’re someone famous.
But, usually, if you’re famous you probably are narcissistic, that likes attention and to show yourself anyway, so you probably deserve having your photos exposed.
I’m sorry, but I just can’t feel sorry for them in 2014.
