The exclusive Blockbuster Special Edition of Street Fighter Comic

He’s usually the “Udon/Comicstore is ripping us off” whiner. Hence the reference?

Yes,Apathy is completely right.Timestop and Northlee both seem to have a problem with companies who care about their work AND want to make money.

That is why I always make sure that Ruppsworld and Herofix, our 2 “authorized” on-line retailer, will be allocated some of the goodies that are exclusive to the cons and make them available to you all.

FYI, there are indeed going to be some exclusive products planned for San Diego this year. No exclusive comics thou.

I’m just quoting this part since I’m a Capcom fanboy!

I know through personal experience that the peeps at UDON care very much about their customers and helping them get what they need. If you don’t like all of the covers, DON’T BUY THEM. Don’t concern yourself with what anyone else buys, it isn’t your goddamn business if I or anyone else chooses to collect every cover. I’m not a moron who will buy anything with the Street Fighter logo stamped on it (those horrible Jazzware figures for example…), so it’s not like UDON is exploiting my collecting addiction. If their comics were shit, I wouldn’t be buying them. I happen to like getting 3 different kick ass pieces of SF art with every issue. Who gives a fat baby’s ass about what you deem to be more important to spend money on?

Hmm, there are problems with the Jazwares Street Fighter line? Please tell me more, or link me to whatever might have been said. I don’t have any of those, but I do have the Mega Man stuff and a little say with what happens there(not that much, though), but I’m interested to know.

As for Capcom’s care of quality… it’s pretty objective, if you ask me(remember Dreamwave’s stuff?). :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

LBD “Nytetrayn”

I’m hoping people that think all the “extras” are a rip-off never run a business. Becuase the business will fail horribly. Entrepenuers would have a better understanding. If you can do a little something extra to increase funds, you better go for it.

I’ll be honest, I have been out of the SF loop in general for the longest. I didn’t even know there was a comic series (which I will check out as soon as possible). But even someone with the tinsiest bit of business knowledge knows you cannot survive on your core product.

hmm…i guess i’ll be checking out this Ruppsworld you speak of.
and thanks for taking the time to answer me.

A business is supposed to make money.

If you don’t like the covers then don’t buy them other people might and I’m sure they may make different covers just so they can attract new people with nice art.

you also act like sf is some huge ass business, I say if they can make more money they should after all it only helps them make more and makes us look like more of a potential market which means:

more sf shit

now i don’t know about you but I want more sf shit, if there was a sf alarm clark where ryu punched you in the face to wake you up I would buy it, even if I couldn’t stand the harsh beatings and die sometime down the line.

conclusion: Why are we even fighting about this we should be glad they are making the variant covers cuz they are trying to attract new customers and when there are enough potential customers we will get more sf merchandise.

A Ryu mug, Blanka shock tarts and Sagat scar repairing kit in 2010, bank on it.

lol

I’d be down for that alarm clock you spoke of too.
