The Etrium Events MvC,SSF4 MK9 Tournys 4/30 $50 bonus to SSF4 winner

If you guys are gonna hold local tournaments the same days as other local tournaments up here why not at least try to change the time? 8pm last time was good. And people could make it to both events that way.

Also maybe this is me just being a cheap-ass, but for the small turnout these events have and the lack of top players (aside from Champ & Tokido’s random appearance 2 weeks ago), exciting matches, good monitors, etc.; isn’t $15 entry kind of asking a lot? I understand the $5 venue fee can’t be avoided, but perhaps less people are attending these events because paying $15 to enter a <16 man bracket isn’t hype enough? Ever consider $5 pot + $5 venue for entry fee?

Also, have you considered investing in some Asus monitors?

Excited to see the amount of Scorpion and Subzero users this tourney. lol

on a serious note…

We don’t cater to top players…everyone is welcome and invited…

We definitely aren’t opposed to any of your suggestions we appreciated it
As far as the monitors go… they’re coming

I finally start getting the 10-7 Saturday shifts at work again and Etrium changes their tournaments to afternoon ones lol

Haha not saying you do (or should) cater to top players. I’m saying events which have more support from top players typically attract more attention.

About the monitors: Dopppeeeeeeee.

Whoa! kinda misunderstanding with the person who set up the event with us.

All good event is now at 8pm! And buy in changed to reflect the cheap asses LOL!

I added a little something special for the street fighter players!

I personally didnt want to do afternoons kinda got set up that way…but we switched back to 8pm so your good

I agree Id just hate to have people drive out for a $5 tournament…
tbh I just want people to come and play and have fun…dont really care who it is

retarded… 15$ isn’t alot…

if you enter any other kindas of tournaments for different things, 15$ is cheap…

I compete in other things, the minimum charge is 75$ with greatest chance of not winning, and you have to bring 80% of your own shit…

also, how you gonna biotch, about 15-5 then say “yo can you upgrade yo shit 2” =\

8pm!!! that sucks, now i can’t make it -_____- 2pm was better X_x oh well, hadacon!!!

word? time for MORTAL KOMBAAAAT

I can bring an Asus VH236H if needed.

ahahahah

Cool story bro. If you’re down to drop $75 to enter a 8-16 man SSFIV bracket then I’m sure Filipino Champ’d be happy to take the extra free cash. :3

Lets just all relax and have a great time at the best event in norcal
please ^^
Cya all there 8pm ^^!!! lets get hype

hype hype hype. bump bump bump.

BRO
how much is he gonna win…300? mabye?

the event im talkin about at a amateur level is 75…winner gets nothing
intermediate is 150 winner gets 1k
top pros (people like jwong) pay 250$ and you get 1 CHANCE 5 minutes to win/show your stuff

top pros ranking is
top 8
8th - 7th 1k
6 - 1500
5 - 2k
4th - 2500
3rd 3k
2 5 k
1st 10k

and thats FINALS

for qualification its amateur intermediate pro divisions
and its usually 30 per division that show up…

SO all in all your entering to help, to support the community, to help gaming move forward and eventually get to 1st place 20k prize money

so just pay the 15$ and remeber your helping yourself and fellow gamers

Cool story bro

MK9 is gonna be on xbox360 even though online patches don’t work if you’re not connected to xbl?

Shoryuken - MK9 - Balance Updates on the Xbox 360 Version Do Not Work Offline

We cant connect to XBL?

Sup babygirl,

I’m pretty sure (and by pretty sure I mean 100% sure, bet-my-life-on-this-shit sure) Wong doesn’t pay $250 to enter tournaments… since Evo is the biggest open fighting game tournament in the world and entry is like ~$70 total.

Why is it that console gamers always think there is wayyyy more money being pumped into the fighting game tournament scene than there really is… 9__9

i dont mind paying $1000 entry ^^
jk miranda ^^

Like this game needs any more stress, we don’t need to put even more money on the line for smaller tournaments
