against shotos

you can do this combo
St Strong, F+fierce, hop kick, Kara Palm, hop kick, Kara Palm, Hop kick, Kara Palm, ending

ok this may not sound new to you but these kara palm can be performed with a cr. roundhouse

this combo is really easy to do and is reall damaging

That’s been my staple against Shotos and Makoto for some time with the exeption that I do qcb+lk~lp.

Ghetto-palms are also good for improvising enders for less-than-full GJ-meter combos if you want more damage.

i cannot get even one rep of the kara palm. its frustrating. currently, everytime i do attempt to do a rep, i execute a command grab rather than the palm. i’ve watched some vids but i still can’t get the rhythm of it. any more additional advice?

Hi! I play third strike on X-box and I want to know if it’s possible to do kara-palm with a x-box controller, cuz I can’t do it! I can do a lots of kind of kara like, kara 720 with hugo, kara grab with everyone, kara UOH with everyone and so many more but I cant Kara the palm and the lp dragon punch of makoto. Do someone can do it with a x-box controller?

don’t even bother using hk, just lk works fine for this. It also is a way to ensure that you get your f+mk, palm combos in on chun/makoto etc

also right now i’m working on some basic ture KP combos for mixups when getting shit blocked. Mainly c.lk, palm, kp x X (till low meter), ender

I’ve been able to karapalm for awhile now, just not consistently. So last night I was bored and decided to practice and found out a way to get the karapalm out pretty much flawlessly. Keep in mind I’m easily pulling off like 3 and 4 kara palms in a row on the Dreamcast version of 3rd Strike and with a PS2 controller:wow:

So here it is: tap and hold strong, then short cancelled into qcb motion and release strong at pretty much the same time as pressing jab or fierce for the palm. Negative edging and pressing an extra punch allows more chances of the palm coming out correctly. Of course though it’s probably easier on a stick as you can just drum all 3 punches for palm instead of having to negative edge the strong.

Can you show me a video of you doing it? As in, video tape your hands as you go threw the motions so i get the general idea. I have seen Kara palms to know what it looks like on screen, but i want to see the hand motions, and speed needed to do it right. I think my main problem is that Im too slow with the qcb.

mp, wait for motion to go to furthest point, QCB lk~lp/mp/hp like ur doing a roll cancel… but not the actual roll press…

This may help people that get out of range for a second palm. It may sound simple, but stop holding back after you do qcb. Once you finish the qcb and press lk~lp, go to neutral immediately.

Anywho, any good kara palm combos on the lee twins (yun/yang) urien and other strange bodied characters?
(oh and btw, i can do it now. And i still use a pad :P)

in case anyone didn’t know. there is a universal kara palm starter for all the characters (including dudley). yes dudley can be kara palmed. 123, ->, strong, fp, walking kara palm, kara palmx4, ender.

123 xx GJ, st.mp, f.hp, (kara st.hp, kara palm)x3, any last GJ move to any ender

The reason why you are doing command throws is because your inputting :hcb: :lk: + :p:
. It needs to be :qcb: :lk: + :p:.
