All jokes aside, I really thing the core 360 fan(boy)s are starting to grow up and realize the value of a dollar.

The console landscape hasn’t changed in the last 3 years, but as I read forums and comment sections from articles I’ve noticed a pretty big change from what it was 2-3 years ago. I’m reading more people finally realizing that the 360 - while an awesome system - doesn’t give much bang for your buck. When I finally bought mine, I knew I was doing it only for a couple franchises (Gears, Mass Effect - before it went multi - and Fable) and accepted that I wasn’t going to get total value. But there were so many people in denial for such a long time that it kinda baffled me. The side by side comparison when I was buying my first next gen console (PS3) showed there really wasn’t a comparison at all when it came to value. It actually looks like gamers in general are finally seeing that.

NOTE: I do not hate the 360 - it’s an awesome system. Just a system that wants you to pay for things the PS3 does for free.

Sometimes it is better like the games they announced today for free on PS plus. Then sometimes it isn’t and imho I think the quality of connection on XBL is better than PS3.
