I thought you were going to bring up the topic of environment and global warming eventually. These people who come from the third world have very low CO2 emissions per capita. If they immigrate here to countries with high C02 emissions per capita, it will have a negative impact on the environment. More so than if they stayed in their own countries.
Most CO2 is generated from agriculture and industry. Fewer people on the planet means cleaner air.

Climate change is a whole other issue and itâs a much harder issue to solve in my opinion. it will hardly be solved by looking at immigration for sure.
Climate change can be tackled by changes in how we consume stuff and produce stuff, and also some of our behaviours. Stopping immigrants from going from country to country is unlikely to do anything of sizable help for the issue.

You want fewer people in rich countries, they are the ones who are responsible for global warming. Thus mass immigration is counterproductive if you want to fight global warming.
I donât think thatâs how climate change works.
Things like the Paris Accord exist for the reason. Immigration is irrelevant. You need cleaner energy and innovations that lower Co2 emissions. One the big problems with conservative groups in the US is that they are fighting to keep using coal and other pollutants instead of finding cleaner solutions.

Industry causes pollution. Industrialized countries cause pollution. Industrialized countries barely keeping their population from declining through immigration arenât going to pollute in any significant margin more than before.
