People camping out under the guise of protest are the not the same thing as people demonstrating. CHAZ/OWS made nuisances of themselves in addition to hurting businesses around the areas they were in and making life worse for citizens who lived there. And what did they accomplish? Not a goddamn thing. So I’m good with the government I didn’t even elect telling these loser cracker commie assholes they will be fucked with if they try to pull that shit here. Maybe they don’t do that down in Beto-land where you live, but thankfully someone is willing to do it here. You don’t have to like it, and that’s why we have stuff like State’s RIghts, so you can let said commie assholes shit up your landscape and then vote in politicians who will let them continue to do so. Your prerogative, and I’m ok with that.
EVERY state has rules that suspend voting privileges for felons to some degree, except Vermont and Maine and this has been a thing since the dawn of the country as far as I’m aware. Nobody seemed to bent out of shape about it until now, not because they care about the issue itself, but because they know it’s only lefties that will get clapped by this in a year when they’re trying to unseat Trump.
Wanna know how to not lose your voting rights at all? Don’t commit felonies. Be creative, or at least don’t get caught. Going to jail should be a badge of honor for a protester anyway just like it is for a rapper.

Yesh, you victimized a kid, cant let you around them. Doing really specific crimes which warrant very specific restrictions (losing medical license, cant work with the elderly etc) is something we gotta live with for safety reasons.
