And is why the DOD already said they will refuse if the order is given, as per US Military law (Article 92 of the UCMJ),
Article 92 of the Uniform code of military justice: refusing to follow a lawful order or regulation; which by extension (looking at the key word Regulation) obeying an unlawful order is also a violation.
Example of the obeying an unlawful order is murdering civilians, which the defense “I was only following orders” is automatically thrown out of any court.
