Yea. We have an overt amount of people spanning across two generations that have absurd amount of student loan debt. Gen X and Millennials already face a tough road ahead and clearing their student loan debt will pave a better future for the future working class American, which fuel the economy.
I also see this talking point get brought up: “What about the cost of college ballooning to such a high amount? Student loan forgiveness doesn’t solve that issue.” What about it? They’re separate issues that require separate solutions. Student loan forgiveness helps solve an issue crippling many working class people trying to make ends meet. Solving the inflated cost of college will help Gen Z and future generations moving forward.
