Try shimmying in the corner with cr.mk xx upper, it’s stupid and fun.
Ok guys I need blockstrings, frametraps and conversions. Who got any reliable ones? Most stuff I’ve seen whiff so far ends up whiffing one point or another.

Not a framedata problem, just wondering what strings you’ve been using since his specials and links are so spacing dependant.
Cammy feels that very much so
I use a lot of St.lk because it’s similar to Cammy’s, it’s a god button for pressure. That into St.mp or shimmy/throw
I really need training mode for Ed, I’m scrubbing out so hard xD
He’s a bit too rushdown for my tastes, but his toolset can keep up with a lot of characters.
I’m really anxious for some high level footage.
His closemid neutral game is fantastic, cr.mk is oppressive and an easy confirm, st.mp does everything
Neutral game has been figured out, it’s his combo avenues that need time to sink in. (and how to create situations to start them)
Every time I confirm a cr.MP I’m looking for a machine gun blow that doesn’t exist, lol.
Also, I’ve noticed some weird command overlap for trigger (HK + HP)
It’ll give me his kick DP sometimes, which shouldn’t happen because that command is KK,
Hope they fix it before release.
You can actually play him more defensively than most of the other cast TBH

Unfortunately they all work only up close.
The only button you can confirm from pretty far into Psycho Upper is cr. MK.
I didn’t really think of doing a shimmy that way with him. I’ve just been getting away with shimmying with st.hp or just throwing 7 times lol
It looks like KK puts him in a CH state on recovery despite not being a real reversal.
His couch animation is too their alone, it’s kolin walk back level
I am still downloading the beta, but this dude looks pretty solid. Ed also seems to be a good complement to Guile.
Is it me or does this character look like he has pretty good zoning potential? Good looking fireballs, anti airs and pokes. And he even has Dhalsims Yoga Catastrophe from SF4.

Pretty much. On top of that it’s impossible to jump on him when he throws a fireball, he will either recover fast enough to block or to use KK/d+VS.
Does linking off of held HP seem kinda weird to anyone else? Sometimes I get s.MP, sometimes I can barely get a light. Did it to s.MP on an AFK opponent as well, so I doubt it’s CH only unless he just happened to press a button in that exact moment. Might be spacing-related?
Is there some weird timing to link cr hp after st mp? It looks like that’s the link he’s hitting in that deadace video but I couldn’t hit it.
