And that is why Sima Shi is That Dude™, wiping out entire bloodlines and all. Although I’d still rank Sima Zhao ahead of him in boss status because Wang Yuanji. I’ve always wondered despite the Sima clan founding the Jin dynasty and uniting China why the Sima surname isn’t more common in modern times. I’ve never known or met a Chinese person with that last name. Ma yes, but not the compound name Sima.

So The foolhardy strategist, Ma Su has a plentiful lineage of descendants, while The Sima clan are a rare name? Interesting.

Anyway finally maxed Proficiency with all the DW characters, from Xiahou Dun to Zou Ci. The lastest DLC Stage pack, #6 is a godsend. “The Defense Of Itushikima(sp)” is so plentiful and abundant with officers and enemies with agro @ full blast.

Dong Zhou is so OP now with those damn Bombs. I’ve always hated that fat bastard, but with his slimmer DW3 costume and the Bomb moveset he’s pretty OP. That moveset is too fuckin good for him.

Right now I’m just trying to max out everyone’s proficiency…so I’ve been running themed teams. I do know that I have Zhou Yu, Xu Huang, and Masanori in the 90’s.

Currently I’m using team Forgotten Samurai (Musashi, Kojiro, Goemon)…next will be team Geezer (Huang Gai, Yoshihiro, Huang Zhong)

Xiahou Yuan is a beast in this game.

Meanwhile…Xiahou Beiber get a new weapon/moveset for DW7:Empires.

So boss…

Well Ghat Damn!!! Damn I need to hit up Koei warriors. Why wasn’t this weapon in the original damn DW7 game?? Looks like I’m going to be downloading DW7: Empires for the new movesets alone.

Rescue at Yi Ling is your best friend (if you haven’t bought any DLC stages). With an S rank Dodomeki in your squad, G -> S Rank only requires ~1400 KOs. Seeing as how you can get at least 3000 in one go, you can get max proficiency for two characters at a time.

I’m trying to complete all stages on Chaos mode…without relying on my 3 top guys…so I had to forsake Industry for most of them.

More stuff on DW7:Empires:

Koei Warriors:

On the Politic system
Meetings are done once in a half year (twice a year)
In the meetings, the ruler will show the faction’s general policy, and subordinates will be able to present alternative selections.

The objection system is also enhanced. When presenting your alternative idea, you can use politic-specific tactics to make the idea more acceptable. Generals with the same fame type tend to have better affinity and thus easier to agree.

And missions can be only given to subordinates, so rulers, mercenary leaders and free officers are not able to get them.

On certain fame level and some more prerequisites, a special politic command may occur. This may range from searching a strong enemy (Valor-type?), to staging a revolt and taking over the faction

On CAWs
Arm length and back heights can also be adjusted
Weapon gender restriction is abolished; you can pick from any 55 in-game weapons
EX attacks are determined by the EX weapon chosen
(For example in the scan, the CAW is having Bombs as his EX weapon and the EX attack is currently set to Dong Zhuo type. If it’s a cloned weapon, then you may choose from different EX types)
The 2 Musou attacks can be freely chosen
Stats type and Default Fame type have each 6 selections

Up to 200 CAWs can be created at once (Twice of DW6E’s 100)
Obviously they can also participate in Empire mode events with the unique characters too
Other player’s CAWs that are downloaded may also appear in Empire mode
You can set a number of appearing CAWs and triggering events
You can either upload the CAW individually, or in a group of up to 5 CAWs at once with a group name
When a game is cleared, the play history will be saved and will be reflected on the CAW

Misc
When you go to town (DW7/XL style), there is Costume Shop where you can buy CAW equipments and also change unique character costumes
There is also a Carpenter that sells Castle layouts (probably for the politic phase background?). There are also some castle layouts that have side effects of increasing certain fame points

Damn…DW7:Empires is going all out with the CAW system.

200 CAW slots
Generic officers (not peons) can be replaced with CAWS.
CAWs can be shared online.
CAWs can have any EX/Musou 1/Musou 2 combination. (Example: A CAW can have Zhao Yun’s EX, Xiahou Yuan’s Musou 1, and Sima Yi’s Musou 2).

Playing Musou Orochi 2 now, I hate how the game makes Kotaro look more evil and less neutral.

amazing game though, a lot of characters to level up, there is a tier list? Kenshin Uesugi is my favorite besides Kotaro atm.

Well there is tier discussion on KoeiWarriors and Gamefaqs…but they really matter on Hard/Chaos modes.

Comparative Overall Performance Tier List

If certain characters are listed at the same level as each other, that means they are considered relatively equal in position.

! - Indicates a new, or newly adjusted entry.
? - Indicates a character being re-examined.
{} - The {} refers to a playstyle that utilizes elements banned/soft-banned by the tier list’s set criteria. Their inclusion is a nod to other playstyles outside the central scope of the tier list. However, their tier ranking is dependent mostly on general viability. Actual effectiveness on a case-by-case basis will be left for the player to decide.

Refers to a character that can complete both Ninja NU and Archer NU, but either does not cross existing offensive/defensive thresholds to reach S-Tier, or cannot complete either one consistently.
L - Adjusted, or possibly being adjusted, for lettered (A, B, C, etc.) ranking.
S - Adjusted, or possibly being adjusted, for subtier (+, N, -, etc.) ranking.
P - Adjusted, or possibly being adjusted, for positional ranking.

Rules:

Brilliance is banned. It’s basically Allmighty/

DW musou is banned. This may seem pretty trivial, but 95% of the DW musous in the game will OHKO officers given the correct setup. Most don’t even need a super setup to OHKO naturally with them lol, too powerful this time around. Wouldn’t be able to really divide any tiers. Unless self sustainable with osmosis
3)SW musou is banned as well, for a reason someone said above. Smack osmosis and two thrift users on there, and you have yourself some damn nice complete invincibility forever.

Tiers and placements are not based on fun factor, combos, etc. They are based on the characters offensive speed and relative safety with defeating officers, and to a small extent clearing crowds. Subtiers after general placing are mostly ranked according to average stage clear times.

Getting rank A++ or higher requires some very strict guidelines. A++ means you have a relatively broken offensive speed on regular stages, and are able to clear both Ninja Only Ninjas United and Archer Only Ninjas United, but your average stage clear time is slower than 9:15. Getting S- or higher means that you can surpass that clear time. Obviously rankings higher means you just do better on these ridiculously hard stages. All the way up to Xiahou Ba and Mitsuhide getting even in the 4 minute range.

Main testing scenario is Ninjas United DLC stage on Chaos Difficulty

9*) Do your best with avoiding partners that the character is bonded with, so you don’t get random support attacks and buffs.
