Gotta love KOEI’s Warriors games. People say these kinds of games are repetitive and boring, I think that’s where the fun comes from: the repetitiveness. I love just mindlessly running around hacking and slashing enemies lol. I can play the Warriors games for hours on end without getting bored. Not to mention in the Dynasty/Samurai series, you learn a LOT of history from them
As much as I love Gundam, I still gotta vote Dynasty as my favorite since I’ve been playing the series for nearly 10 years now. It has a special spot inside me. Oh, and the 800+ hours I put into Dynasty Warriors 3
Exactly. It is hack and slash in its purest form. I wouldn’t put too much stock in the history in the games. It isn’t all wrong, but because it is based on the book, “Romance of Three Kingdoms” and not the actual historical account, there are quite a few historical inaccuracies and alternate interpretations of certain characters. Liu Bei being chief among them.He wasn’t near as virtous in real life, and he was quite a competent commander. He doesn’t get to do shit in ROTK.
Oh yeah I know that it’s not exactly accurate, but you can learn a lot of general stuff from playing these games. Not to mention a lot of the stuff is pretty interesting too.
Got my PS3 back…finished DW7 story mode, and now plowing through Conquest mode.
Grinding is a bitch though…why didn’t they have reward adjustments based on difficulty level in vanilla DW7? Less of a point for me to play Chaos.
More wei goodness

Sun Quan…this is how you take a woman.[/details]
Spoiled myself a bit by watching XL cutscenes and damn, a good amount of them are depressing, seeing as how they’re all happy in some of them and we all know what happens to those who aren’t a part of Wei/Jin. :shake:
The main problem with Almighty was that it was busted in both a way that benefited you, but also could very well work against you. For example, good luck with being able to actually CONTROL your character, if you dared to attach Almighty to a weapon that had Agility that was level 3-4 or higher on it (depending on the character).
For an Ultimate Reward™, Omega Force clearly didn’t do much in the way of serious checks and balances on it. So, for MO2, they either need to shape it up or try something else.
I’m fully aware of how if your Agility is too high for your to control when using Almighty, you can only do one or two pokes at best, unless you have really fast thumbs. Which is why if you want to abuse Almighty, don’t equip it on a weapon with really high Agility or don’t level up Agility on a weapon with Almighty, or maybe don’t even think about putting Agility on at all. Easy fix to that problem.
My friend and I were talking about a possible Super Sentai Musou game and why there hasn’t been any actual sentai style musou games yet. I’d think those would be just as prime of a seller like Dynasty Warriors Gundam.
At this point though I just hope there’s some luck that TecmoKoei can do a Dynasty Warriors Bleach. Even though Sega seems to still be the Bleach kids.
