You is relatively important, but as a domestic minister so it’s sort of weird for him to be in the game lol. I would have assumed Cheng Yu would have been added if they needed another Wei strategist type character.
It’s been confirmed that DW9 will have no sort of multiplayer this time around…as the development team reportedly had difficulty implementing local and online co-op.
If anything…they could remedy this in a future expansion like Extreme Legends or Empires.
it’s still tough to stabilize. ARK Survival Evolved has issues with even its 2 players local co-op.
and Bethesda doesn’t bother with co-op for their Elder Scrolls games, it’s too processor draining also.
it just brings down other things like graphics, framerate, population, and more. I’m glad DW9 doesn’t have multiplayer.
If they wannt do quality open world, they gotta get the single player right.
on top of that, Koei are among the worst with co-op netcode, and almost no one uses their online co-op in their games.
like even F2P mmorpgs have better netcode.
with Koei netcode, you see people going up a slope sideways on their stationary horse.
they should prioritize DW9 single player content, graphics, framerate, etc. maybe DW9 Empires could get multiplayer, but not at the expense of other things.
I’m usually against the Koei strategy of “X Steps forward, Y steps back” every DW game seems to get, but I think they’re trying a large enough expansion for the series that no multiplayer is alright for the initial version. Expecting DW9E to have multiplayer as that’s become one of the selling points for those games…
Multiplayer would be great for the open world system Koei is going for…especially for Empires.
I’m hoping that’s the case…that way I can forgive no co-op for the vanilla DW9.
I was expecting it, but I hope they actually make the systems more interesting. I really liked it but toward the end it was mostly just surviving on my love for the aesthetic aspects, which they did a really good job on with things like that player feedback
