Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 trailer…
Data for TK’s upcoming games to the west…
October?? That’s way too long.
Shit I’m thinking about picking up another Musou game I’m not sure. All I currently got is PW2 and Hyrule Warriors and I got DW Next but deleted it because idk why but the structure of mission made it boring.
But I am thinking of picking up one of the 2 main series DW or SW because those settings add alot. Might get SW4. But shit idk yet
Collectors Edition is exclusive to the Square Enix online store…
Dragon Quest Heroes will have English and Japanese voiceovers…
English voiceover sample for Nobunaga’s Ambition game
Oh…and Samurai Warriors 4: Empires announced for Japan.
I realize some of these games have newer versions (4, 4-II, orochi2 + ultimate…hopefully not off topic, basara 4 + utage)
do i need to get both of them in any/all instances?
Ordered the collectors edition of DQH. Too good.
You don’t need to get the predecessor of those games to play the newer versions…
Just play the newest version of said game you’re interested in. The newer versions are really just expansions that have the main game and a bunch of extras in it.
Just in case anyone is on the fence about preordering the day 1 or collectors special edition of DQH, you don’t have to pay for your preorder until 48 hours before it ships. So since quantities are likely extremely limited I would try to get on it now so can confirm a copy.
if you change your mind or its not in the budget anymore than just cancel it. Another plus is unless you live in California you aren’t charged sales tax either. <3
I played the living crap out of SW4. I wonder if SW4-II will be worth the download??? besides the new character did they revamp any moves or is it just an updated story mode with different game modes??
I heard that in rare form SW4-II is actually a really weak expansion. One extra character, pared down story mode that DOES follow individual characters, but not many of them, and the alternate gameplay mode that replaces Chronicle sounds like it’s bad. I don’t know all the details as far as the latter issue goes though.
Heroic Legend of Arslan x Warriors trailer…the cel shading looks really nice.
I’ve never heard of this manga/anime beforehand…but I did research and saw that Funimation recently acquired rights for Western distribution.
I honestly would be surprised if Koei Tecmo announces this for the West. I am optimistic because past Warriors collaborations has been received well in the West.
Pre-order bonuses for SW4-II…and release date.
Surprised that there are no bonuses for Steam buyers…maybe it’s because it’s not even listed on Steam yet.
Samurai Warriors 4-II (戦国無双 4-II, Sengoku Musou 4-II) is the revised edition of Samurai Warriors 4. Its sales pitch is to present the "perfect version" of the title, words which are reminiscent to Chronicle 2nd's marketing. The producer adds that it...

[]Hyper attacks will be more effective when ally morale is high. Certain areas on the battlefield are fortified to inhibit these attacks.
[]Enemy AI has been further reworked to match the player character’s movements. Maps appear to have friendlier camera work for horse riding than before.
[]Characters increase attributes by using experience points on a grid in a manner resembling Conquest Mode. Equipment and heirlooms have been dissolved in favor of having characters learn weapon skills and weapon attributes on their grids. Skills have a maximum level 3 limit. Attributes are renamed “Additional Ability” and operate in a manner similar to the base game.
[]Every character has an unique “Awakening Skill” they can learn to surpass their standard limits; awakened skills grant a unique effect when they are used in battle.
[]Previous DLC weapons now act as a character’s secondary rare weapon. Players can alter weapon attack power and skill properties by altering its level; the maximum capacity for these attributes can be increased through rank (stars in weapon’s menu). Maximum weapon level is 50 and maximum rank is 5☆.
[]Mounts can be strengthened to have additional attributes using a method similar to weapons.

KOEI TECMO EUROPE (koeitecmoeurope)
PC requirements…
Are the samurai warrior chornicles games any good? I need a Musou game on handheld. I only got DW Next and I deleted it because every mission was the same, and the touch screen stuff got annoying. But I was looking at either getting Samurai Warriors 4 or Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 on vita, which would be the better option?
IMO get Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3…it seems more like an Xtreme Legends than “II”:
Protagonists have Hyper Attacks, Mighty Strikes, and Rage Attacks for their default weaponry. Further customization options are planned.
Playable characters have a combat maneuver gauge ala Empires titles that can be used during battle. Each character can use a special maneuver to help the ally side once certain conditions are met.
The producer stated that many missions encourage the player to rely on character switching to succeed them.
Character interactions with the playable cast have been heightened compared to previous titles. Protagonists can additionally earn a playable character’s costume and “what-if” story branches in Chronicle Mode by building friendship levels with them.
Hypothetical routes can unlock special mission objectives for the playable cast.
Players can use their funds to improve a castle town and its standard shop. A blacksmith for specific weapon alterations and the tea room seen in cutscenes are new facilities. Players can invite multiple characters to the tea room to boost friendship ratings and to experience unique conversations; upgrade it to increase the number of seats available per visit.
Dream Castle Mode is a revised Gold Rush or Time Attack Mode from Samurai Warriors: Xtreme Legends. Players can compete for online rankings and earn a class rank for their avatar. Guest characters are slated to appear as enemy NPCs.
Completing various objectives to bolster the player’s war career. War career is equivalent to game completion and is visibly judged by revealing miniatured character illustrations separated on a 6x4 square grid. One objective is placed on one square panel, and there are eight illustrations available.
Online friendships can be used to earn points for weapon customization. Routine online messages from the developers will continue to be sent to players of both ports.
Downloadable content will include scenarios, music, and edit character parts.
Samurai Warriors 4 is basically a straight up port of the console version.
Still wishing Koei Tecmo would put their DLC on sale once in a while…the prices are ridiculous.
Samurai Warriors 4 Empires should definitely be localized. They did localize DW8E despite the low DW7E sales. They should give SW4E a chance in NA and EU.
