I kind of liked the staff on ling Tong more than the chucks personally.
It works. Put on the Hokuto Shinken ability, hop on the horse, and just run over fools for the kills.

Man DW7 was a damn Beta version. That shit was testing ground for DW8, think how underwhelming Conquest Mode was.
Not too ecstatic about more of Guan Yu and Zhang Fei’s seeds joining the fray, but at least they appear to have some dope original weapons.
Man Im so hyped empires then 8 this is what Im talking about I get to make some caws then back into the fray with 8 later on.
I’m playing the shit out of Fudo in Ken’s Rage 2. He’s like if Ganryu’s, Honda’s, Taka Arashi’s, and Zhiang Fei’s chest hair sweat was dropped in a petri dish and it developed into a man.
First musou game I might actually go for 100% on.
Wonder how long it’ll take them to localize DW8, because that’s the amount of time we have to plat DW7E. I’ve yet to plat DW7XL and DWG3 like I was supposed to. 
One Piece Musou 2 Officially Announced
I enjoyed the first one. It at least got me to looking up how the anime versions of the same in-game cutscenes played out on Youtubz (that’s as far as I’ll go nowadays). Fuck getting all the trophies for it, though. After grinding the CP9 boss fight stage a billion times I still have like 15 coins to go.
Of course, it would be really great if the rest of the crew got their own mini-musou modes rather than having dumbed-down versions of Luffy’s.

So many franchises could work as a Musou game. It really just depends on the variety and uniqueness of the characters for said franchises. Final Fantasy Musou? Or has something like that already been done? Problem is it wouldn’t be KOEI making the game and the IP owners themselves trying to make a beat em up and we end up with something that isn’t very fun. Like when Squaresoft made The Bouncer which was boring as hell. How were all the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games? Or how about a Star Wars Musou?
The thing that makes DW and SW work is that the games draw from history and the breadth of characters that existed. ROTK is one long ass novel.
Koei once made a strategy game adapted from Water Margin. Adapt it again and make a Suikoden Musou.
X-Men Legends 1 and 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance were the shit.
A Star Wars Musou game would be the end of me…
It was bare bones compared to what Hokuto and One Piece Musou were.
