Concerning the codecs…you can use Satsuki’s Decoder Pack (I’m using it, and it’s fine for me).

Be forewarned that this installs a crapload of codecs onto your comp, so there might be (I heard, anyway) conflicts between codecs or something like that.

Do these codecs benefit the video in anyway? Or is it simply over complicating things? I wish people could use standard codecs…

Just google x264 and install it then. Why install every codec known to mankind when you just need one?

Even though ffdshow is way better than anything.

x264 is becoming a codec of choice, so you’ll probably be seeing it around a lot more.

please please include the name of the codec used if you’re going to use AVI. people fuck up their systems all the time trying to hunt down the codec of the day. i’ve got three+ million crashes in bad codecs that says AVI sucks as a delivery format. i’m working on this on my end, but you would really help me out if people could put the name of the codec used in the filename if you’re going to use avi. <3 <3 <3
