The one and only Ivan trailer…

That’ll be interesting to see how much is accurate or embellished as I grew up in the town over from where Ivan lived in Washington.

The store that Ivan lived in is called the B&I in Lakewood, WA. I only saw him a handful of times while living in WA due to me avoiding the place like the plague. Whenever I did go there and saw him though I always felt horrible for him when I saw him in that enclosure cause the B&I is an absolute shit hole.

The B&I is basically an incredibly shady and disgusting indoor flea market. It was scummy and dirty as shit when I went there first time when I was 9 and has stayed scummy, if not gotten even worse over time.

I hate the B&I. Their pet store is one of the most disgusting places I have ever stepped foot in.

I love monkey movies

I want to see this film… But fuck no am I paying $30 extra to just stream it on my first or second gen Roku stream stick.

Any reason why? You’d likely spend that same $30 going to the theater (unless you were going by yourself)?

I usually go by myself. It’s virtually the only place where I can focus on one thing and not multitask. The theatre is my “Hermit Heaven”. VOD doesn’t work for me and its more expensive. Hard pass.

As much as I do want to see the film, paying thirty for one film digitally is not my preference. I get you pay as much if not more for a legit movie viewing but I hate that about movies and at least there I can get a higher quality viewing experience. My best and current home set up isn’t even real 4K for most streaming. I will pass until it actually hits Disney + or goes on sale.

Elena of Avalor is the best anime on Disney +.

Don’t @ me.

My local theater charges 8 bucks at most and the bigger theater 30 mins away charges 11 bucks for an adult ticket. So 30 bucks is definitely a hard pass unless someone wants to hang out and go in on it with me.

I think this is going to be a move that erodes the quality of films longterm. The viewing experience won’t be made for a large screen any longer, but something that you can hold in the palm of your hand.

Magic Camp trailer…

A storms brewing. Disney making Mulan only purchasable on Disney+ through their website and other “select platforms”. They’re completely cutting out Apple and Google

Wasn’t planning on buying it anyway but this does seem like another shot at the two market leaders for mobile content.

What’s up with these corporations not wanting to give platform holders their cut?

I think they’re just tired of the percentages. On average google and Apple take about 30% of whatever amount the purchase is through any app. Even When you have subs through that platform*

Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft do similar for their market places but iirc their averages are a little lower floating around the 15-25%.

*I’m not sure about google play but you can subscribe to several streaming platforms through iTunes and their billing cycle goes through iTunes
